Everything on this site should be good and safe. The mods on this site are active and always looking out for any bad links/etc. You should be fine. ALTHOUGH I wouldn't recommend browsing the internet without an anti virus. Norton has been awesome for me. very trustworthy software, and not that expensive.

I roll with ESET NOD32. Norton is too much of a resource hog in my opinion and is way too over-protective (lots of false positives). If you're looking for something free, use Avast Anti-Virus free edition.

NOD32 is something like $50 a year, not a bad deal at all. Gets cheaper if you buy multiple years at once.
