Random Black box at the side of my screen when I play Co-Op on World at War

I don't know if this is normal or not but it seems that whenever I play Co-op there is a black box at the side of my screen that shows white boxes in it and random colors. I don't know how to fix this and I have not been able to find a tutorial on how to fix it. Any help?

Take a picture of your whole screen. Does it show on all maps?

thats the lagometer which shows your connection to the host.

Open the console and execute the command: cg_drawLagometer 0
