Hey all

Been a massive zombies fan right from the start but never played any mod maps before, in the middle of getting rid of my imac and building a new pc and will be on this site constantly looking for new maps to try.

My question is what controller do you guys suggest using? never been a pc gamer before so not something I have really had to look into.

will be playing a lot of zombies so want something that is decent.

i guess the best option is the xbox 360 controller, world at war also has support for it and you can play without problems.

Give up the controller! Lol. I was a console gamer for a long time. Since Atari, long time. I started PC games 2 years ago. It took me a year to make the switch completely, but there is no comparison between the two. The mouse is too powerful, lol. I used xpadder on every game and had custom controller setups for each so that wasn't bad. What I did to learn is got a cheap keyboard with rubberized keys that I could switch out to get used to where my hand had to be. Then I got a Razer Tartarus with a Razer Naga Hex and it's awesome. I still find my self playing with the keyboard though sometimes without realizing it, lol.

I used two different controllers when starting out. Xbox was one, but get a wired one if you get one, not the wireless. I have an xbox reciever that allows for a wireless controller, but it can be a pain to set up, and I hear there is a delay, but I don't know. And a wireless with a charging wire doesn't work, .The other was a controller I got to work on PC, PS3, and Xbox, that I can't remember what it was called. It was cheap and wireless and could connect to all of them plug and play. I think it was from Walmart. I originally got it just to play ps3 with an xbox controller but it happened to work for PC too. My buddy switched too PC too and got a bunch of PC controllers and always went with wired ones but never really had a favorite. He just said don't buy the cheap ones, cause they don't last and sometimes give interference in there cords with your mic.

You can start off playing zombies with a controller but like MakeCents said, try and play with mouse and keyboard as well. You will eventually get used to it, and never want to go back to console. I used to play xbox 360 and ps3 for 4-5 years before switching to computer because of custom zombies. I went straight to trying to learn how to play mouse and keyboard, took me several months, but I played very easy maps just to make it easier to learn. Now I never want to play another console ever again.
