Just putting together all the stuff I'd like to put into a new PC. This damn laptop is pretty out of touch with modern games plus Maya would run smoother if I were even running it off a brick. The build is primarily for 3D modeling, but, of course, it needs to handle newer games pretty smoothly (I'm not so picky on texture quality as long as it runs and I can see what I'm doing). I am concerned by the FX-8350 if it is truly not a good CPU to be using for modeling. I'd appreciate your opinions and any help. Here are my part suggestions.

Reasonings....

• CPU: Will be very useful in rendering models and textures. Won't give much benefit from i5 since they're mostly the same. Apart from all the hyperthreading and other jack shit.
• CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO is the best bang for the bank at $35 you can slap on another fan or replace the existing one. The stock cooler is good but not the best.
• Motherbard: Do I really have to explain how fucking awesome this board is?
• RAM: Corsair Vengeance RAM series are top-notch, included in this build is 8GB at 1866MHz.
• PSU: Don't ever skimp out on the PSU, this version is 760W that's fully modular. You currently have a 970 and an i7 4790k (with future upgrades and overclock capabilities).
• OD: Because a generic writer is good enough. I currently use this.
• TC: Arctic Silver 5 is the best /end
• Case: Your choice....
