Guys, its a dual core processor. Even if you *could* get it to run at 60FPS at 1080P any background processes will cause the game to stutter and even if you did get 8GB of RAM both the CPU and GPU would cause terrible FPS anyway.

Unless you play it at 640x480P with everything set to the lowest settings.  :gusta:

No but really, if you REALLY want to play Black Ops 3 at a modern resolution (like 1080P) as medium settings or better your going to need to spend around $700 (maybe cheaper if you buy stuff thats on sale. Black Friday/Cyber Monday is coming up and you'l find great deals then).

Yeah, that is a lot of money. However, the only real component that you'll need to upgrade from that point forward is the GPU(and maybe PSU for beefier GPU). Motherboard, RAM, HDD's, CPU, Fans, etc generally DO NOT need to be upgraded.
after a day of playing on max settings - im still not seeing any stuttering

Your actually using a dual core?

In any case, you probably didn't have any CPU intensive programs open so it didn't (really) affect you. The point is, dual core processors are not what serious PC gamers should be using at all. There are games that benefit or require(as a minimum spec requirement)  to have atleast 4 cores.

ok, mines 8x core, my old pc however was dual core, and the one before that

But reagardless, a tiny bit of stuttering wouldnt bother me anyway, not that ive ever really had it cause me issues

Im very much a "serious pc gamer", I just do a lot of other stuff, and thus have the capability to support anything i may be doing, even if it costs me the occasional stutter

on that note tho, i always have multiple copies of maya open, which does have a pretty heavy requirement. My pc just seems to survive anything - except its new love for windows explorer crashing - which closes all my open file explorers and occasionally a few other things - which is starting to become very annoying, but that is completely spontanious

my biggest struggle is what usb to unplug to plug another in lol, I got like 18 usb things, nightmare

I don't think your PC falls under the 'cheap PC for BO3 category' mate, you've got an i7, 32gb RAM, GTX 970 is it? Yeh, hardly budget low end stuff ;D

doesnt "now" - which is a very recent thing

I only got this thing at all 2 years ago, before that, believe you me, I was underpowered even for WAW - and still was until I upgraded the GPU and PSU

and GTX 950, which was actually only like £150, which is the same price i paid a year and a half ago for the 650 ti - and also the cheapest that was actually in the shop lol
