I just got an 80GB sata drive and was wondering if there is any special software adding or tinkering that i would need to get it to work properly. Thanks in advance!

As long as you don't plan to put your OS on it you san just plug it in and it should work perfectly.

Well my computer has a built in slave drive area, but the connectors won't fit together or at least thats what i assume, because the bios doesn't see it.

How old is your pc? older machines did need things like jumpers (which I never fully understood) but newer ones don't need that anymore as it's normally integrated into the bios-settings.
