Considering you didn't know about the hitmarkers before on the map im gonna assume you dont have the updated version of the map because stuff in the map was glitched and bugged, your friends have the updated map but you didnt which is why some doors and barriers where missing
Edit: I think who ever the host was had the most updated version of the map but some of you dont
