So I got ugx easy fx working in my map and was wondering how would i stop a fx from playing after a player hits a trigger. I got it as stationary loop, so it starts playing at the beginning of the game but it never ends, setting it as a trigger use will make the fx not play UNTIL the trigger is hit, when i want it to do the opposite, play at beginning then end after trigger is hit.

the best way is to make the fx play on a tag and then delete the thing its spawned on

I dont want it to delete it though, basically I want to have it to where the players will repair a generator and they need to repair 5 generators to turn on the power, and the generator will be sparking then once the player presses f on the trigger, the sparking will go away.

Then spawn a script origin that you play the fx on and delete that when your done. Spawn a new one if you need to have it play the fx again.

Actually meant to say a script model :P
Then set the model to a tag origin like so:

Code Snippet
Plaintext
fx = spawn("script_model", origin);
fx setmodel("tag_origin");
playfxontag(_level.effect["spark - or whatever"], fx, "tag_origin");
