This is a very recent problem where ill put a load of different things in my map but then itll just not save what i did even though i saved it a bunch of times before exiting. Is there a way to fix or prevent this form happening again?

While editing my map, i had black ops 3.exe (was walking through the map while editing) and i added in a prefab but left the search window open, switched to bo3 on steam but it froze, then i went back to radiant and the misc prefab red box was there but i couldnt select it. So i reopened radiant and dragged a box over it and selected it by that and deleted it. I recompiled my map and now when i walk through that area it was in, walls and models in that area dissapear. Ive even went in the .map file and erased steps before that but nothings changing. Any idea son how to fix this?

So my map originally was dark and the sun was disabled so everything was pitch black except the lights around in it. All of a sudden since the game updated, there is a blue like sun or maybe just a lighting glitch in my map in which even when the sun in my ssi is disabled, my map is lit up blue. Ive tried everything and cant figure it out. I copy and pasted my map into a new mod and at first even in radiant it was fine and dark like before but then i compiled it and now even in the new mod its lit up blue. Any ideas on what is causing this?

EDIT: While trying to make my new mod to paste my map into, the new map window wouldnt let me type in anything. I wasnt allowed the name the map anything other than numbers at first

So i was wondering if there is like specific rules most mappers or even including treyarch that they follow to like make a zombie map look good and not plain. I found out terrian adds more variety or detail to an area instead of leaving the ground flat and having the area look plain. Im looking through treyarch maps to see what other things they do to "add variety" to their map. Do you guys know other little things like that that make a huge difference as so? Also is it just me, or when you like design your map in Radiant with a certain layout you end up not liking it and you want to change it but you get stuck on what route to add in to make the flow feel fluent? Just curious.

Everytime i make a new model in Maya and export it to APE, the material section in the xmodel properties in ape says lambert1 instead of the material name i saved it in in Maya. Any help?

EDIT: Nevermind, the name of the xmodel had a "." in the end as the model name of it in APE didnt. Dont know how the period got there, but it did  :lol:

Hey guys, i know theres alot of things in Black Ops 3's tools that we cant do due to the limited amount of assets and files and such, but is there a way to make it so that hitting a trigger starts round 1 in this game? I know you could do it in waw but idk if it's possible in this game?

Is there a file in Black Ops 3 in which you can change the location of perk shaders and the ammo count? In Waw i was able to do so but i cant seem to find the file to do it.

Im using Maya 2012 to create guns for my upcoming map but while i was making the back iron sight and had the whole body of the gun hidden, i unhid the gun model and then when i rotated it i noticed all of the gun was spiking dary grey shapes everywhere and idk what this is about. Is there a way that i cna fix this? Also the vertice count is 17001 and i didnt create that many.

It's been a while since i've posted or been active much on here since the upgrading of my pc and now im trying to download the modtools but most of the links in this page either dont exist anymore or dont work

I am new to scripting and all I have really done so far was be able to find the values for certain HUD elements and to change them xD. Currently I want my ammo count to be rotated but I looked around to find that you can't do that so I want to use pictures for my ammo, so I could rotate the numbers in the pictures. How would I go to implement these pictures into the ammo count area,like how would I script that in? Also what would I have to name these pictures?  ???

Does anyone know how to change a font such as in this link:

into gamesfonts_pc.iwi. I know you have to convert it to iwi but in the iwi all of the letters are together in the picture. How do i create that picture with a different font?

I am currently learning how to build weapons in Maya. Currently following tutorials on the basics of it and i constructed the handle on the pistol i am creating. In the tutorial, he uses a edge split tool and of course it just doesnt work for me. SO i continue following and because i didnt use it, i get shitted on the farther i go into the project. Also the scale tools and what not just dont want to work on certain faces and googling it just tells me nothing. I want to model guns for my map but ive been at this for  days and it's either finding someone who can help me somewhere in the autodesk forums or i'm just going to give up (it's not THAT big of a deal but i just want to model guns for my map). Anyone else here get mad issues with Maya? I feel like im the only one.

Im trying to create this custom gun for my map and im watching videos to learn about how to copy and paste the vertices and everything like that but they never answer anything and/or, the videos are sped up so fast even playing bakc on .25 you cant keep up. If anyone is good with creating weapons or anything in Maya let me know, pm me or whatever, i could use the help, thank you :p

Ive sat here for 5 hours trying to figure this out and i just can not. I have used a default fire fx and put the lines for it in where it belongs and it will not work in my mod. So i took the street, the script structs and deleted the rest (copied and pasted map to this other mod). By doing this it worked. Which means there is a brush somewhere in the map that could be preventing my fx form playing. Is this even possible? Im still going through dleeting 5000 brushes to find the bad one

Quick question. My map is going to be in a city which has billboards everywhere. For these billboards and store names, do I have to use a different name from the actual store names ( like McDonalds for example, am I not allowed to put that in my map?) Because I've been renaming stores and making custom ads and I have like 60 more to go and I don't have enough time for it, so basically, am I allowed to use ads of McDonalds, or forever 21  and other stores and not get in trouble for it?
