Not trying to step on anyone's toes, but why don't people share around here? Why aren't ported weapons shared among the community? Wouldn't it save everyone some time and money (for games and DLC packs) if we just made ported weapons available to everyone? I'm not asking to be spoon fed, but seriously wtf? UGX releases weapons to the community in the Standalone, but what about all these weapons we see in other maps? Are you physically unable to share them too? "That's a mighty nice Mauser you ported from Origins. Mind if I use it in my map?" "Nope, port it yourself." Why make it so difficult? It's not like you discovered a new element or something.

tl;dr Share weapons you port so that it'll save other map makers some time.

I need to place ugx_sentry_turret_load.map prefab in my map because every time I pick up the sentry gun power up it crashes my map. I followed this tutorial: http://ugx-mods.com/wiki/index.php?title=UGX_Mod_Standalone_Installation#Sentry_Turrets

Now I get a 400 fx error. Yes, I've rebuild, recompiled, etc. If I remove the sentry prefab, the error simply goes away.

I've been playing around trying to make a custom traverse animscript and now things aren't working quite right. I reverted all of my changes, recompiled everything, and my problem still remains. When I pick up nukes, a checkerboard screen appears. When going through the menu (controls, challenges, etc) certain color backgrounds aren't there and some are also checkerboarded. When typing in the console it's black instead of it's usual gray color. I have a video and a few images of some of my issues. Please help me as I have NO idea what to do.

EDIT: Also, when I get hit by zombies my screen turns black (for a sec) with only the red hit indicator showing.

Trem, Saje, somebody please help! I have been running circles trying to fix this for 4-5 hours now.

EDIT:
My tutorial and test maps both work so I know it's the map now.

I removed all of the ugx stuff in my mapname folder and it worked, added fresh files in and now it's broken again.

Ok I tried converting files and then readding standalone again, but that didn't work either.

Tried reinstalling the UGX mod tools and going from there but that didn't seem to help (it's still not working).

I decided to go ahead and just transfer everything over to my test map but first add the standalone; did it, same problem.

I have a light grid zone, light source, and reflection probe but all of my foliage remains black. Everything else maintains its usual color, including my character, the zombies, perk machines, walls, and other models. How do I get trees to be the correct color?

I've been having trouble with following along with TomBMX's readme on how to use his zappers. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I have a few places on my map where jump up and jump down traverses are needed. One of the jump up traverses causes zombies to swing their arm out to the side and then freeze there in like 2 seconds. Another jump up traverse I want to use is one where they jump up and pull their self up. I've used the stamp tool to separate out the traverses and move them how I need them but zombies act like I haven't even moved them. They continue to jump up about half way. On jump down traverses, zombies look like they are holding a weapon while jumping. It looks absolutely ridiculous. Basically, what I'm asking is: what jump up/down traverses work best and how do I set the jump height?

I changed skyboxes and now it's glitching in Radiant. It's really annoying. How do I make it stop?

I have UGX standalone installed so of course my default weapon is the M9 Beretta. I would like for it to be the Colt. Unfortunately for me, I can never get WWII weapons to work on my map so I'm sure that it will be an extraneous process to put it in. If anyone knows how to do it, I would gladly appreciate it if you could assist me. Yes, I installed UGX for modern weapons but I wasn't aware that I couldn't use WWII weapons as well.

Hello Everyone!

I may be a noob to the custom zombies scene but I'm keeping myself busy learning everything I can. This map is my very first map. I started building it right after I installed all of the required mod tools (a week ago). I've hit lots of brick walls with production, such as the use of WWII weapons, dogs, risers, and the many failures I've faced with path nodes.

I would like to collaborate with more experienced users so that I can make my map more detailed and 'custom'. Right now I've been limiting myself to default and easy-to-obtain prefabs. The name "The Park" is more of a code name than anything as my map isn't just going to be a Park, it just happens to be the player spawn location. I am completely open to name suggestions. Just make them serious and cool sounding, like "Annihilation".

There's not much of a story as of yet, but I'm working on it. I'd like to make it derive from the original zombies story line but I think it would be much more interesting if I go another route. We'll see; it'll be much easier to come up with a story once I get more done with the mapping process.

I have a town, factory, and village planned for the remainder of the map but it's a pretty gray area right now. My map will likely be pretty large.

If you have any suggestions or want to help me, please let me know!

WEEK 2
I didn't have a whole lot of time to work on my map this week but I got done with about half of what I wanted to do. Most of my time was spent at work and college, and when I was working on my map I was having to fix something (black foliage, script errors, bad lighting, etc). I know it looks plain and it doesn't have a lot of detail, so I'm going to use the next week to finish it up. I'd like to mention that I have came up with an easter egg (not a buyable ending), a story, and a couple of cool features I'm looking forward to implementing.

WEEK 3
I spent my time this week doing some customization and detailing. I've also researched into custom models, weapons, and such. Unfortunately, I feel that my progress is getting slower and slower each week as I still didn't get all of the detail done like I had like to and the Grab-N-Go shelves aren't quite up to par yet. I'm still deciding how far I want to go with this map and I'm debating on working on something else temporarily. Next week, in my 1 month update, I'll release a video showing gameplay of what I have so far and an explanation of things to come.

First of all, I have the UGX mod installed, so it may be the cause of a few of these errors.
If you know how to fix just one of these, please reply. I am a total noob and I need your help.

- WWII weapons do not work (yes, I'm using the upgrade_ ones)

FIXED
- No cheats will work. It says 'they are disabled on this server'. Help me enable them.
- Zombies get confused around the map (they shake their head or run in one area)
- The fire FX I'm using brings up a 'use' (hand) icon when I get close to it (I want that disabled).

I've been trying several different things but I can't seem to get default weapons to work. The chalk is there and the gun appears when I click 'F', but I don't see any weapon info or actually purchase the weapon (it's not in my hands either). However, UGX weapons work just fine. I really would like to have a combination of both default and UGX weapons spread across my map if that's possible.
