I just got my new headset today and have ever since been trying to get the microphone to work.
The sound works perfectly well on every configuration but no matter what I try the mic won't. I tried the standard windows drivers and realtec, even moving to a dedicated USB-soundcard didn't help.
Does anybody have experience with Mionix (Nash 20) and Windows 10? I really don't want to send this thing back to America, I paid enough customs already :please:

Update: It shipped faulty, they do replace it but it seems like I'll have to pay the shipping back to them.

I'm thinking about upgrading now but my system is kinda weird so I'm not sure whether or not it will actually work.
I've got a 64GB SSD which was too small for the os and all the drivers so I'm using shell link extensions to "outsource" driver backups, not so necessary programs etc. Does anybody have experience on that?

Also, I heard that it could cause problems with the modingtools, is that true?

EDIT: I already downloaded it a while ago and now I get random "reminder" popups which will initiate the upgrade if I click space (so basically everytime I write something it could happen).

But do you think this will be the future of pokemon or will you still hope for a skyrim-esque RPG set in kanto?

Story:

A squad of four has been sent to investigate a factory-hall previously owned by a company called a(h)tna(ma)s.
Even though nobody had bought the facility after the company went bankrupt nearby residents stated that it seemed like somebody had still been working there.
But it never bothered anyone so no further action was taken.
Close to Christmas however more startling reports arrive accounting faint weird screams and mysterious lights, which don't fit the festive mood.
To eliminate the threat mentioned group force-opens the main gate and enters the old big hall.
However, before they could take any action they faint as some thick smelly kind of gas escapes through the newly created gap.
As the group awakes it notices two things: they are captured in some kind of containers and surrounded by factory-staff which seems to have grown rabid.
Can you help them find out what happened there and lead them to an escape?
Can you SAVE CHRISTMAS?

Now that christmas is arround the corner let's not forget this gem:

OLDTOWN


It's slumbering on the pcs of many fellow modders simmilarilly to the payload map and yet I've never seen it on youtube nor in an actually playable form.


I gained the missing prefabs (except light_tree.map and candycane.map) and textures From the "The Last Christmas" aka "Subway" map's sourcefiles on Alex Romo's (better known as SparkyMcSparks) site and compiled it.


The mod's folder called "Der_Frost" sadly is missing most of the basic contents (mapname.gsc etc.) and I don't know where it gathers the necessary information from. You spawn without weapons and the zombies don't give a shit about you, either standing still or chasing the teleporter platforms.


Does anyone know if there's a better version than the one I compiled? If not I'll try to get the last features to work and release it close to the 24th here on UGX.

Devlog:

[13.10.] The UGX-mod works now and I managed to compile my map. Now some patches appear to be invisible but I'll get behind that soon.
[14.10.] Thanks to codmoddd I was able to fix the invisible patches. Additionally I got some mapping done.
[16.10.] I finally wrote down a brief description of the story, will do some more mapping later today.
[17.10.] Made a new (probably temporary) logo.
[30.10.] I finally got to do some detailing on the lower section. new scripts and features are planned.
[04.11.] I have to re-do some detailing, used too many brushes instead of patches.
[13.11.] Now I'm far enough to say that my map is technically playable.
[19.11.] Finally the layout is done. Now I can work on the remaining features.
[27.11.] Today I finished the zones, pathing and the playable area.
[01.12.] I'm almost done, starting the closed beta today. but I have problems with my spawners.
[03.12.] The risers are working! Now onto the PP-Location and final detailing.
[04.12.] Did some testing, fixed some things and added the buyable ending.

I've been using my R.A.T. 5 for quite a while now. But after changing my mainboard I'm not able to install the driver anymore because it somehow causes my graphics-driver to break. But with the standard driver it sometimes stops working for 1-3sec which is really annoying.

Does anyone know how I can resolve that problem?

So even though I got the UGX modtools patch installed my browning sounds are missing. I've already looked through Sajes fix on youtube.

Also after looking through the patch files I noticed that there's nothing inside the raw/soundaliases folder even though there should be the changed weapons.csv.
Manually fixing the file using Sajes method strangely didn't fix the sounds for me either.

Is there another method of getting the missing sound?

Hi there, I'm intending to upgrade my pc with a secone 560ti (I already have one and I got this one for free).
But my power supply unit doesn't have enough ports to supply them both and I'm also not sure if 560W is enough.

Can you recommend one?
And do I have to do sth. else (like connecting them directly, i dunno...)

I am currently experiencing odd ads on UGX
There have been a few different ones untill now redirecting me to other sites or trying to download things.
A few minutes ago this happened:


I have already checked my machine for viruses multiple times with multiple tools and UGX is the only site where things like that happen even though I'm on a lot more sites on a regular base (eg. Facebook, GCZ, Game Jolt, Explosm, 9gag,...).

Are there others having the same issues or am I the only one?
And if I am, is there anything I can do about that?

This time they infected my lovely hometown Amberg.


They recently destructed some buildings to make place for a new cinema. When I saw the scenery, I simply had to catch it and I chose to do that via Radiant.
Of course there will be a storry dedicated to zombies even though they didn't decide to show up at the original site.

Hi there, I'm currently facing a new problem.
I intended to make custom perk-icons. I used the bo2 icons (which work fine) and converted the .iwis to .dds using toms iwi to dds converter. then I edited them, converted them back and placed them inside my map-folder (and of course recompiled my mod).
Sadly, this happens:



Does anyone know why they get weirdly split up?

Additional info: I tied it without compiling alpha but that didn't work eiter.
                         The edited images are the same size (64x64) as the original ones.
                         Converting them using the Asset Manager doesn't work either (even though I did hit F10 twice).

You enter an abandoned church. Soon you realize that you're trapped.. but you are not alone. As you try to escape you will reveal the buildings secrets.
Even though this is my fist map, I decided to upload it here. I've spent a lot of time to make it look quite well even though I used it to learn almost everything I know about radiant.
I intended to record custom soundfiles for the eastereggs but I started another project so there are some parts of songs and interludes to find now. Even though this map is called Untergrund (underground), I focused on the outside area but some parts of it are only accessable via the church's cellar.
