I got talking about this with some friends and thought this would be a cool topic to discuss here. I don't plan to do this myself, nor am i asking others to do it either, just an interesting topic that could be cool if it happened.

Do you think that a Reboot of the first 4 Call of Duties would be cool(i removed the part about a kickstarter, that was just one our idea when we were talking. We also talked about a petition to do it, though we were a little tired and kinda drunk. we don't plan to do this nor are we asking.) And when i say a reboot i mean kinda like the halo anniversary editions. Imagine the first COD that started it all getting better graphics, FX, sounds, servers, and most of all a new engine. But at the same time keeping it the same game. Same weapons, same maps(add all the map packs into the game) and maybe a few Free DLC fan favorite maps from newer games. But keeping the same game mechanics that the game originaly had. And i mean no new weapons from present games, camo packs, dlc weapons, attachments, etc, etc.

Or the other thing we talked about was making the first three games into a super pack. Make a game that featured weapons, maps, gamemodes, etc that the fans and communities actually voted on. And then made the game like so. And still following the requirements above. and have the campaigns added into a 3 box set and a MP disc. I would be perfectly happy paying $100+ for a game like this.

What do you think of this idea. is it good is it bad leave a comment telling your side.

I would, but knowing Activision, they would sue anyone doing a reboot 
Also, then there's Call of Duty 3 which was console only AND wasn't on the IW Engine.

What do you by "right up the ugxmods alley" did you mean to let people know about your idea? or for us to make this? if it's for us to make it that's impossible we don't own the Call of Duty IP.

I don't intend to anything of the sort just me talking with some friends and i thought that this would be a cool topic to discuss on the ugx forums. Nothing more nothing less, just a spark of imagination that could be cool if it actually happened. I'm sorry if that was worded a little weirdly. ill change or remove that part.

Edit: Worded the OP better. As i said above i am not attempting to do this myself, nor am i asking others to do it for me. this was merely just an interesting topic that i had with some friends while playing some HOTS, and i thought it would be interesting to continue it here and see what one of the largest Cod gaming communities would think of something like this. There is less than no chance of this ever happening, but the idea of it is what is exciting.
