Hi everyone, I've recently thought of a Verrückt mod which I want to make for WaW, I understand and although never before coded in it can adapt to the syntax of C++ and I'd like to get into modding. Can somebody show me how to setup modding a WaW map and maybe later on help me with anything I might struggle with?

Anyway, just if you're wondering I want to make a mod which I might call "Berserk" which is where you start with 7500 points per player, perks cost 500 points and basically you have the choice to open and buy things with the limited points you have. During this time no zombies spawn as it's a sort of "grace period" for a few minutes. At the end of this time all players will be teleported to spawn and both ways out of spawn will be sealed (if the players chose to turn the power on the power door at spawn will remain open). From there all players lose their points (becomes a score) and all indicators around spawn are disabled. Endless zombies will spawn with increasing health from round 15 health with a random drop every minute spawning randomly around the spawn. All zombies will be either runners or verrückt sprinters. Every second you earn 10 score and every kills earns 50, with no bonuses for specific parts of the body or knifing a zombie.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I know how to program quite a bit of this, but other parts I'd need guidance.

Hi everyone, I'm going to download the mod tools for WaW this Friday. Before then, please can someone tell me how to set it up so I can mod Verrückt? Remember, this is my first time modding WaW, so I'm completely unfamiliar with the mod tools and don't know where to start, and I want to be part of the modding community, so any help would be very much appreciated  :)

Mod tools is a mapping tool so you know, although you can create custom FX for maps and whatnot,
Second of all I suggest if you are going to be mapping I suggest you look up on youtube tutorials on how to make Cylinders, Bevels, add custom textures and whatnot.
If you are interested in actual modding the game I suggest you look up on youtube scripting tutorials for mod menus ect.
This will help you when It comes to mapping anyway since you need to be able to add moving objects, or anything that is not going to be still.
By the way, you need to download Mod Tools 1.1 afterwards and then just drag and drop the files from the 1.1 into the 1.0 so that the Compiler, and Radiant don't mess up. I didn't know this before and I ended up creating a whole map and then it happened and I was dumb so I but it in the recycling bin R.I.P!

he isn't "mapping" - he said he wants to "mod" the "existing" map - verruct

Also the current version of cod 5 mod tools is 1.4 - not 1.1
