Portalling detail brushed areas

Hi guys i have portalled the playable areas of the map entirely , and they seem to be working nicely , i have kept some walls caulk to see it from each cell.

The thing i am not sure about is the detail areas , they seem to be always loading, these pics are looking into the room through a structural caulk , and the other is looking into the room normally.

Both times the background areas where the zombies spawn from are loading , my question is should i portal these areas or is there something else i should do for optimising the performance. Because if all the "detail" areas are loading all the time i do not think that sounds right .

Looking into the cell form the next cell along , looking through structural caulk , the detail spawn areas are always rendered


Inside the room looking at the same point so inside this cell and still the backgounnd area is loading


SO maybe i would have to portal the outer areas where zombies spawn too ? Or is there any other suggestions like is this optimal or am i mssing something ?

No worries guys i found the problem , the cell i was looking from was not sealed . Now it does not draw the spawn areas even with out portalling them .

So the detail brushes at the back to not need to be portalled as long as you are stood inside 1 cell the others will only draw when in view .
