When a dog spawns it has the sounds and the dogs have their sounds (after I added some lines to the sound file or something idk) and the dogs animations are correct however their is no spawn animation.

I know it's quite minor but it irritates me. A file location and code to copy to it would be nice.

i had the same issue the fx are most likely commented out in your zombiemode.csv in zone source
try uncommenting it then save and recompile map

OR easier way would be to just add this line to your fastfile mod.csv in mod builder
build mod and it should work

fx,maps/zombie/fx_zombie_dog_lightning_buildup
