Hello, I'm a newer member to this community and I recently started trying to learn to make my own custom maps. Unfortunately, despite following exact instructions twice, no zombies spawn in and the rounds keep advancing when I load my simple map. I have the pathnodes, the spawner with correct kvps, and the zone with correct kvps. Here are a couple screenshots of the KVPs and the map itself. Thanks in advance for any help!

Make sure the first zone matches this in your map's GSC file (usually located in WaWRoot\mods\modname\maps or WaWRoot\raw\maps):

Btw when the zombie spawns, he will just stand there, since he has no target (Windows or script_string to tell him to chase player).

Firstly, your spawner doesn't have a barricade to enter the map through, so either put him behind one or give him the KVP 'script_string - zombie_chaser'.

Second, is 'first_zone' defined in your mapname.gsc as the initial zone? I think it's usually named 'start_zone' but maybe you used a script placer that calls it 'first_zone' idk. What Scoba said.

You guys were correct, I didn't realize the initial zone needed that specific name, and was confused because the yellow arrow made it seem like it was working. Now everything works correctly! Thanks guys
