 so my windows 10 updated last night and as of today i can not get any map to download they were downloading as applications now there downloading rar files can someone help me

Some maps actually ARE .rar files, some .zip.
It just means you have to place them in AppData/Local/Activision/CodWaW/mods manually.
To get to AppData, Hit Windows Key + R and type %APPDATA% in the box. Then you want to go up one folder, and you'll see the local one.
