So i just started mapping and i made a simple map to test out the basics and when i launched my map for the first time i received the error 'script runtime error unknown item 'fraggrenade'' i did search up the error but with less than 24 hours of experience with the tools i dont understand how to do it.

any help will be apreciated.

I had this issue and I was missing the dlc3 file. To resolve I reinstalled all the mod files.

first check that the dlc3.csv is in the file location %\Call of Duty World at War\mods\your_map_name\zone_source if not, try a complete reinstall.

Also check in \Call of Duty World at War\raw\maps for the "_zombiemode_weapons.gsc" file and make sure that fraggrenade isn't commented out for some reason.

What do you mean commented out, i see fraggrenade in the file and its has    add_zombie_weapon( "fraggrenade",                      &"ZOMBIE_WEAPON_FRAGGRENADE_250",          250,   "" ,         0 );

If i remember correct that error only appears in developer-mode, so simply loading your map without developer 1 enabled should at least load the map.

"Unknown item" is caused by trying to precache a weapon that is not in a .iwd/.ff. You could fix it by either adding the files to your mod.csv  ( weaponfile, soundalias, etc ), OR if you dont use the weapon ( zombies uses the 'stielhandgranate' by default ) you could comment out or delete the lines for it in dlc3_code and _zombiemode_weapons ( comment out a line by putting // in front of it )..
