having problems pasting screenshots from steam and then posting . is there a simple guide to doing this or common mistake that would prevent me posting . i would like to join in but this is preventing me , would also like guide to posting videos in youtube section . i just dont want to keep having moderators correcting my mistakes  . stumbled across way of pasting something but would like screen to show like everyone else .http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=329680961

Which browser are you using? (should work on every browser though) :

Right click the picture and select "open picture in new tab".
Then use that new link and it should work.

thx for reply , i dont get option to open new tab when right click, i do open screenshot in own pop out window by right clicking,then options like copy or copy url etc . what should new link contain that old link didnt . annoying thing is ive posted 1 screen shot and helped friend post 1 but now i m having problems myself . browser is google chrome but like i say it worked fine last week but now i seem unable to paste any image

It depends on the site which link you'll get. Sometimes it's the same one but with endings like .png and sometimes you'll get a completely different one.

EDIT: copy image URL should work fine too.

If you want to post a screen shot on the site were it shows like the 1st reply you have to hit this button and paste the link in the middle

ok ive done what you said but copy image didnt work but copy image url and pasting into post on ugx did ,  after opening image in new tab.
originally i was tryng to copy image from steam before opening new tab in internet browser and copying image url in there . i hope this topic has helped other people who have or are having trouble posting screen shots from steam, thx for all people who posted for their helpful comments
