Multiple Zone 3's Zomb not spawning and Door

1.My map layout is weird below is the url to an example. I made four different boxes of volume and assigned targetname: zone 3 and target: zone3_spawners. I have one zombie in the middle of them with script_string:riser and targetname: zone3_spawners. I have the script strings as targetname: zone3_spawners_rise and script_noteworthy: find_flesh. The zombie is assigned to all four different volumes to fit zone 3 but they're not rising. In the picture volume 4 is zone 3 (i recently changed it to 3) Why aren't the zombies rising and how can i fix this?

2.I have a door by default in sniperbolt's and i added a couple things to the door which required different brushes. I heard you can link the brushes to the door then to the trigger and i connected all of them but it gives me the hand symbol as if power needs to be turned on.

3. Also a couple doors that i have ,have opened in the wrong direction.

If anyone knows how to fix these please let me know.

1. They're supposed to be script_structs, there is no entity called script_string.


I assume you have have your zombie spawner set up correctly and that he does spawn correctly in-game.


Add to your zombie spawner/s in Radiant this KVP:

Value: riser

Ok now the game will class these as zombies that will rise up from the ground.


However this simply won't make them risers, that's where the script_structs come in.


Add a script_struct to your map by right clicking on 2d view, clicking "script" and then "struct".


You'll see a red box has been added to your map, add these KVPs to it:

Value: *targetname of your zombie spawner*_rise


If you want your spawners to rise inside the map where the player is and go for the player add this:

Key: script_noteworthy


Value: find_flesh


This KVP tells the zombie when he spawns to go for the players and not a window.


2. I assume you're trying to have multiple brushes be the door, just give them all the same targetname.


3. Have you added a script_struct that tells the door where to go once opened?

Thank you for the reply.
1. I got it to work. Im thinking maybe there were too many script structs cuz i deleted a few then it worked.
2. I got the trigger connected to the pieces and the main door, i made the targetname the same for all but still gives me the hand symbol o.o
3. No i dont think i did. What would i put in the entity box?

you can have as many as you want, so more likely you deleted a struct that had a wrong KVP on it or something ;)
