Making Custom maps with Windows8?

Just curious if anyone else gets problems with installing and running the custom map programs on windows8?

(I cant remeber what errors i got)

it would all install fine just when it got to actually running the programs and doing the process the tutorial says to i keep getting errors and could never get an answer to why,

is there a prefered OP system to make maps?

most videos i've seen are using Windows 7

windows 8 is a bitch to get the mod tools to work on, but it is still possible

I use 8.1. Only thing I haven't gotten to work is FX editor so FX is a pain.

FX editor works fine for me, I have all the tools working normaly and I am using windows 8.1

If the tools don't run properly on win8, then try running them in compatiblity-mode for win7 or XP.

run it all in win xp service pack 3
and as admin and all should work fine
