Im at the finishing stage sof my map and im getting fustrated because i cant get the lighting right. Also when i put a radius of one light to 400 or 500 the whole map turns green.
So does anyone know how i can light a room up light this? This room looks like theres one big light in the middle:

do you have a light grid and a hollow caulk box with a sky texture on the inside faces around your map?

Do you have reflection nodes placed?

Do the light grid volumes have to be seperate dof reach room or jus tone throughout the map? cuz mines covering the whole map.

I just use one as well but you can use multiple light grid volumes for testing purposes that's what I do but most people just use one but try not to make it too big I heard it will give a error and will not compile ur map if that happens

Huh lol. Well now i know i did something right for once xD. But yeah idk if you clicked the link but the whole room in that map is blue and looks like one light did that. How can i do that? Cuz like i said if my radius is too high my whole map turns grene for some reason

I didnt know that lol
One other thing theres this thing called glowing textures when you set the type to blend ,and any chosen color itll glowlike in the quizz map. Is there a way to make that texture or any light models like legit do a light steam or a lens flare in the player's view?

Thats not blend, thats setting the texture to "unlit"

so you would want "model" unlit, or if you make scrolling textures, i think they are set to unlit anyway

For what you want though, I guess you could use a "light corona"

use fx for light streams and lens flares are in sun settings, i think

no idea, id suggest checking out the possible worldspawn KVPS, you might be able to tell which it is from there

or it might be dynamic, in which case it would depend on sun location, intensity, direction and angle. Not sure, my work has always been set at night time :)
