How to do custom perks and my perk idea

So i want to make a custom perk but i dont know much about scripting. Also am unfimilair on how making custom perks work except for making the model in maya of the perk machine. But for the perk my idea,mine is that it would make you keep your perks when you down. Would this be possible?

already done, the solo version of tombstone in my released perks do this exact thing

Its only the tombstone take/give weapons functions that you need really, and they are near enough identical to the laststand give/take weapon functions in _laststand.gsc
