So my guess is that something is tampering with linker and I have no idea what. I get this error
(!) UNRECOVERABLE ERROR: EXE_ERR_HUNK_ALLOC_FAILED256
And the unrecoverable error part scares me. I don't want to lose everything by having to reinstall waw. Please help.

I guess it works for now. The reason I think I fixed it is because I told windows to update all of my drivers and restarted my computer. I was going to edit this post and add more detail to why this might be happening or why I think this might be happening. I honestly don't know what I did though. Does anyone have an answer to this? I am confused  :P

It's simple lol when CoD is open or steam opens before your launcher, it does something making it not work right. When you restarted it simply lowered some usage and made it run with no errors as it had enough cpu to do so I don't know to much into it but restarting your PC sometimes is the only way to get it to work but before you restart if it happens again simply close your launcher and then close steam completely and make sure in your processes CoD WaW isn't running either you can check this by pressing

Ctrl+Shift+Esc

It will open task manager simply press processes and check for steam and or cod and make sure they are both not there if they are end the processes!

Then reopen your launcher and try to compile if it didn't fix close every open program and try then if still no just restart but is should work after you close steam and WaW.

Oh, right, that seems logical. I guess waw crashed on me and I kept trying to open it up with waw in the background rofl. Thanks for your explanation.
