Asset Manager Won't Open

So I reinstalled mod tools and then copied over my root folder form my old computer, everything works except one thing. Asset manger gave me this when I tried to open it:

I then tried to open it through the bin folder and it gave me a more detailed explanation:

I tried replacing it with a new from a new mod tools download but is was still the same. I'm out of ideas, would really appreciate some help.

Really need some help on this one guys. I researched it a bit and apparently you need Microsoft Visual C++ or something like that so I installed it and I still get the some error.

Would really like to sort this out, compiling a breeze with my new PC.

navigate to root/bin and you will find all the applications right click on the ones that say applications go to properties cick on the compatability tab
and tick the box that says run this programme in compatability mode for::
windows xp service pack 3 (thats what mines on)
and tick run this programme as an administrater that should fix ur problem

I can see in your other topic that you somehow got Asset Manager working again - please update this topic with the solution you found so that others can find an answer here in the future.

Sorry, updated now. Too exited with the working mapping stuff and good Pc!

We knew it was solved, we needed an explanation of what you did to solve it...

Oh ok, my friend linked me to a mappersunited wiki article entitled 'Fixing Asset manager'. I just installed the specific versions of Microsoft Visual C++ and it was fine (of course I had the wrong ones). I also followed other small things there aswell.
