i've got to the point where I have become sick of using a crappy laptop that i own to compile my maps because my main pc won't do it. Everytime i compile my map on my main pc it gets to a point where linker_pc will crashed. A window pops up saying "linker_pc.exe has stopped working. There are only 2 options and they are Check online for a solution and close program. Now before everyone says is it running as admin or take your root directory of read only i've done all that. The only thing I think that causes the problem is windows 8.1 My laptop is running windows 7 and prior to having widows 8.1 on my main pc i had windows 7 but the hard drive corrupted and someone didn't make a back up 
If anyone could help that would be excellent

It's nothing to do with Windows. Mod tools are confirmed working from XP to 10 ( and I am on 8.1 )

So why don't they work then on my pc? I've re installed them so many times. also got the disc and steam version of world at war.
