Can't pick up the Hell's Retriever

I have the three wolves set up, everything works (Retriever spawns) except that I can't pick up the Hell's Retriever. It says "Press F to pick up Hell's Retriever" and I'm spamming F but it won't let me pick it up. What could be the issue?
