Yep, you're right, mate. Around August-September last year, people started to get in touch with BO3 Mod Tools and concentrated their efforts in learning the new capabilities of Radiant and Assman and eventually port their pre-existing work/map ideas into the new tools. At the same time, WAW modding really started to slow down almost to a crawl, to the point the Releases section for WAW custom maps didn't have a new post for 5 months, except for comments in existing posts (chn's Der Berg is the most recent release, from 2 days ago, though). Even UGX itself directed their efforts to the new tools, and I suppose UGX Mod 1.1 for WAW development is paused or at least have very low priority because of that (this is an assumption, it could be right or wrong). Personally, I think that is was incredible for this community to even recieve new Mod Tools to begin with, given how ATVI and the COD Devs (IW and Treyarch) had given less and less support to mods in their games since MW2, to the point the Mod Tools arrived incomplete and were left that way (Black Ops 1) or they were nonexistant (MW3 and onwards until BO3); but, at the same time, it's really sad to think that WAW modding is getting closer to the end of the line than ever before.

I discovered that WAW modding was a thing in 2013 after playing Black Ops 2 Zombies almost daily (BO2 was my first Zombies game. Quite late, I know), and I remember quite clearly how amazed I was after seeing all those different and creative (sometimes silly and bloated with features) custom maps that people  were coming up with, and having a blast playing them in my somewhat-average PC, trying to find all those obscure scripted Easter Eggs and get all the perks the map had to offer. Nowadays I don't play as much in general (regardless of platform, not a PC/console fanboy) because of University and the little time it leaves to me to do that, but I follow closely this community, and especially this forum because of the awesome contents its members are capable to create, and their collaborative spirit: there always were someone starting to get in grips with custom mapping who had questions, and there always were people willing to help them, ready to provide answers. The result were custom maps that rivaled, or even surpassed, Treyarch's quality, like Leviathan, The Swan, Ragnarok, Encampment, Clinic of Evil, Das Herrenhaus, Oil Rig, Project Contamination and many more.

All that said, I really hope Treyarch sticks to it's word and 100% completes the Mod Tools with all the community feedback they've recieved so far, and all the feedback they will recieve in the future. This community, as I said, really needed new, more modern tools to work with, as WAW' limits were pretty steep to overcome for a lot of modders and mappers, that's the reason why a lot of interesting maps/mods were cancelled. T4M mitigated this a bit, but not many people were too keen on using it, both in the mappers and users' side. That way, many old and new mappers will come/return to the scene and make their ideas a reality with the great capabilities of BO3's engine.

It'll be really sad when WAW finally has to ride into the sunset, but I'm convinced that the community still have works-in-progress to be completed and released in WAW, and I cannot wait for them to see the light of day. It'll be World at War' last hurrah, and I'll be there to play and enjoy it, just like the first day, to the very end.

Thanks for your comprehension. Gonna try this map as soon as possible and report any problems should they arise.

After taking an off-time from Custom Zombies, this map seems like a good reason to resume the zombie slaying. Gonna try it now!!!

P.S.: Could you PLEASE consider adding an alternative download/mirror link, like Mediafire? ISPs around here on Latin America are not so keen on Mega, and they limit the download bandwith to a minuscule amount which isn't enough to download 200 MB+ Custom Maps. Could you please look into that?

Well, It certainly is late, I mean, yeah... But no, seriously, you managed to you managed to spark a little of joyness in between all this drama, hate and accusations circle. Nice to see the friendly attitude that made me join UGX a couple of years ago still shines even in this darkness. Thank you for your attitude!!!  :)

I've read all your replies, and I'm glad that you've taken all the comments/constructive criticism in a polite way and adressed all of them in a very detailed manner. Props to you, and I'm downloading the update right now to see what's changed/tweaked/unchanged. Nonetheless, Thanks for this good map, @gamer9294!!!  :)

If it gives you 1million points on start, yes please! :troll:

1 Million Points? To open them Pre-patch doors, eh?  :troll:

The map is detailed and cool but the weapons not... most of weapons don't have reload sounds, pap fire and the bo2 weapons looks so glitchy
lol, you won me to it, but, yeah, other than the weapons and the solo difficulty, this map is very well thought and designed.   :)

Alright, mate, I've played your map for a good amount of time and I think I can highlight the Good and Bad sides of your map (don't misunderstand me, I'm no expert and this is actually my first time writing this kind of "overview" about a map, however, I've been a silent "guest" member of this community as many people are, and I created an account two years ago to be a part of this community and read the post and particippate in the chat lol)

The Good:

Quite Innovative playstyle: COD: Ghosts-style Field Orders that feel pretty balanced and variated enough (Still haven't got a KEM  :troll: ), blended together with Combat Classes and Class Upgrades like Extintion.

Good weapon and perk selection in the pre-made classes, felt balanced and powerful enough.

Well-put Map Setting/Theme, A Last Stand Survivor House? Great! Reminded me of a L4D 2 Story Mission, which I enjoyed.

The Bad/Ugly/Worst/(insert negative categorization here):

First of all, the map is quite unforgiving for solo players, like me. I can assume that you decided that this map will be designed arounfd Co-Op play, but, not everyone have/wants to play a Co-Op game, because time, lack of online friends  :alone: , connection issues, and so on. Maybe you could consider tweaking the difficulty a bit by lowering the price of some doors (750 points for a box location on spawn?!), especially the one that opens after surviving 5 rounds AND costs 1500 to activate when there's already 5 vindows where the zombies could come, a Brutus spawn in round 5/6 and no margin of space to withdraw yourself to make a counterattack. Maybe you could consider add a Wall weapon in spawn (M14/Olympia/MK14/Bulldog/any other start weapon, only one!) to balance the solo gameplay a bit without making the compromise of reducing doors' price and I would suggest to decrease the rounds to survive by 1 in solo (5 to 4), with so many windows and Early Brutus Spawn is quite impossible to manouver in that Kitchen area (or it's storage with the MP7 that for some reason is unavaivable to buy until you pay 1500 points to gain ACCESS to the class upgrades) in my opinion.

Then, Scavenging Extintion trash bags takes quite long, about 8 seconds, which is longer that the original Extintion scavenging time for bags/boxes, that takes about 3 seconds; and you can't move your camera around or fire/knife any zombie that eventually could come close (But I've seen that camera issue with other custom maps that used that feature, so you could look onto that). The former statement is true if you actually anted to replicate/port that Extintion feature in your map, but if you rather made your "own" version with it's variables, it's understandable, but, again you could tweak that.

And, then:

Many weapons seem to be oddly ported, have missing sounds, or both. For Example, the M16A1 (that you named M16 A1, have knifing sounds, but doesn't have reload sounds. The Five-Seven, which looks like the MW3 variant oddly ported, have reload sounds but doesn't have knifing sounds, and that issue is present in many weapons in your map, hampering the experience of an otherwise greatly themed and designed map. You could ask for help to harry, stevie, natesmithzombies and many other great custom mappers/weapon porters to fix this problem altogether

And that's it, that's my experience with your map. Greatly themed and customized, but affected with a steep solo difficulty and weapon porting issues in my opinion. Remember that this post's intention is to help you identify bugs/problems within your map as objectively as possible, without making fuss or minimizing other people's abilities. This is all about constructive criticism, Thanks for your contribution to the community!!!

Nice Concept. I'm sure it'll sound too "boxy" for some people, but I'm sure it'll be interesting. Downloading in a moment.

BTW, in your features list, when you say Field Orders, they work the same as COD: Ghosts? They drop when randomdly killing an enemy, and, most importantly, does it give away KEM Strikes like COD: Ghosts?¡?¡?  :troll:

Yeah, about that... No First PosT... More like the "official" one. :)

Agreed. Engine-Wise, World at War is the most limited COD Zombies experience, and, despite that, year after year, incredible new content is published in the Zombies community all around Internet, with recoginition by users, mappers, modders, scripters, and reviewer/content creator/youtubers alike, pushing the boundaries of what Treyarch could have ever done themselves in this engine (them Box Maps, though  :poker:). Have you seen Industrial Estate, Oil Rig, Das Herrenhaus, Kino the Rebirth, TMG Castle, TMG Alcatraz, Lavender Town, Abandoned School, Leviathan, Avengers: Malibu Drive, Cheese Cube: Unlimited, Prison Mission, Dixmor Asylum, CPH, Lorkeep Station, KFC Zombies, Project Contamination, Hotel V1 and V2, UGX Comosea/Requiem, SOG, Backlot Zombies, Rainy Death, Encampment, Kneipe Der Untoten, Baseball Field, The Simpsons Zombies, Snowy Town, etc, etc, etc... I could continue to write the names of many more awesome maps created with the hands of such talented and passionate fans/creators, even with that freaking 400FX limit/soundalias/AI entities..., but you got the idea; could you imagine what could be created with BO3 engine, with the same kind of talented people? Do you think WAW will die right away, like nothing, given all the time and effort put into it? I don't think so, mate.
