ok so recently i modeled a weapon on my own and i am trying to animate it heres the problem the weapon has a really blocky  look in real life and on the model, so i want it to maintain that feel but when i export it i always have to average my normals, or else i will get an error, Object [bodyShape] has zero-length normals. for Face and Vertices, and the gun looks like crap, i was wondering if there was a workaround or solution, heres how much it affects the gun

I would try to use harden edge for the whole model as it will make sure the normals show the edges clearly(for the boxy look you want).
