I remember playing the original and liked it. This one was good as well, but felt a bit linear to me.

Yeah, the pickaxe quest was bugged. I have since fixed it and updated the links. For the last gunpowder, I'd check a little more around the spawn area for things that stick out!

Today I went back to check ...

The map itself was quite interesting, but I never managed to get one of the Gun Powders, the stick and the Redstone.
 
Also the pickaxe step seems to have been bugged. I activated it, but no matter what it kept saying to kill 50 Zombies and 15 Dogs with it.
