lol, i cant believe that was it...
having build sounds ticked means it will "only" build the sounds
when you add sounds, tick this, build mod, then untick it again. then compile normally....

I usually have it on because I used to port weapons so I'm used to it, wait, I think that just fixed it, wait wat lol
