Thank you for posting the solution!! I had the same problem. Wonder why they told us to delete the XPAK files.

I published my first map last night and after I downloaded it from the workshop I went to test it officially and it loaded up and was all black and unplayable. When I went back to mod tools and compiled and ran it, it ran like always with the normal lighting.
