3. things why:
Wrong font files
Font files not called in an .csv
Wrong gamefonts_pc.iwi

The gamefonts_pc is the file with the font elements.
the font files must be the same than the one your font is (if you use a COD4 font you need the files from COd4)
the .csv is the little box in the modbuilder tab

now did you used the swazzy hud and haven't called the font?

No, I wrote in my original post that I am using the original WAW font.

Also I cant find gamefronts_pc.iwi anywhere, is it suppose to be in raw/fonts? If so its not there

Just tried to compile my test map and the menu is fine, its the standard world at war font. Why is my main map all of a sudden doing this alien text though?

I had this same problem and the way I resolved it was using cod4 font cause was font has problems after adding swazzy's HUD. (Might not even be his hud, not sure.)

But if you don't have cod4 fonts they are easy to get if you own cod4.
1. Go to your cod4 root and open "main" and open iwi01  and look for gamefonts_PC.iwi and move it to your waw images (both mod and root)
2. In cod4 root open fonts and grab those and replace your waw ones (keeping a backup of course)
3. In your mods.CSV add the fonts with this

font,fonts/smallfont
font,fonts/boldfont
font,fonts/normalfont
font,fonts/extrabigfont
font,fonts/objectivefont

and make sure the image is Checked.

I was able to get the fonts but I dont have gamefonts in my iw_01 in call of duty 4 main.

In WaW its in localized_english_iw00.iwd

idk about COD4.
