My maps from the manager aren't showing up in mods section

I downloaded a few of the maps using the ugx map manager and none of them are showing up in the mods section. I think they are just being put into a random location. Can somebody help me out?

How did you install WaW (Steam or CD)?
Are you an Administrator on the PC you are using?

I downloaded it from steam.
My brother just gave me his old gaming rig so i wasn't an admin previously but I am now.
I know they should go to the Activision folder and in the mods section but they aren't going there. It asked to make the folder for me when I downloaded it, I clicked yes but they aren't going there.
The maps are nowhere to be found on my computer.

follow a tut for "unhiding hidden folders" for your version of windows
then they should be in
users/youruser/appdata/activision/call of duty world at war/mods/
then they should be in
