i'd like to make a team of mappers and scripters including me, to help make my first map, as it being my first map i would like to reach a standard on mapping, not a big map, just a small map but big enough for good detail, weapons, gameplay and overall experience, i wish to achieve something like Town or around that size. nothing like town but a map that has the same close quarter high detail feel. if anyone who is willing to help me form a team please respond with your skype name or just add me - jezzayhayza - we will start by brainstorming ideas. thanks

you'll never get better at map making if you just have people do it for you -- I know you said including yourself, but for a first time mapper, you won't be able keep up to pace with the others you have working with you.

So, I suggest to look up tutorials on youtube for radiant, and use radiant to get a good feel for it. It can be a little difficult and time consuming at first, but eventually it will be easy for you.

I 100% agree, before planning a project with multiple people - i'd get a feel for radiant 1st. Like, making a small map by yourself and slowly improving on it (doesn't have to be anything special when it comes to features), but i'd practice until you think your good enough to progress with mapping. Take baby steps...
