This is the link that you'll have to click to download my testing procedure.

Too Long; Didn't Read. If your curious, keep on reading! :)

  • I've recently started to look into the hobby of play-testing through UGX-Mods over Discord around the start of January 2026. Within that time, I've spoken with a few modifiers who were kind enough to let me participate in their projects as a helping hand. Within that week, I was credited in a few maps as a play-tester. You might see my name around the newest releases this year or in the near future. Thank you again to those who've allowed me to achieve internet fame! Its was a pleasure to work with you.

  • Also, I started to ask around the World at War Discord Communities about game breaking experiences, I asked those of us who had prior experience breaking maps how they would handle play-testing upcoming co-op levels and maps developed by users of the community. What I learned surprised me. Since I hosted those interviews, I had learned that those experienced in WAW for so long had their own findings. Then, I compared their findings to my own findings, as someone who's just started playing hardcore a couple years ago. Finally, I documented each aspect of my analysis into an repeatable procedure that shows a basic outline of what I experienced play-testing.

  • Basically, this document aims to give any community member a chance to play-test for experienced level designers by using my peer-reviewed procedure for testing maps while communicating substantial feedback at varying levels of project development. I'm open to hearing a discussion about this idea as a topic. As I mentioned before, I reached out to a few users who were able to confirm my illustrations by supporting their findings with my own findings and I've added their final thoughts as testimonies. I've kept their identity anonymous to protect their internet privacy but if you know who you are, thank you for your contribution!

  • This document is only just a simple draft and I don't plan to update the document in the future because its already as simple as it can be. So, if you find yourself hoping to get a fresh start on a community project or would like to become known in the time that I've spent here, I'd would invest time into play-testing. Just getting to know the forum's Discord community by helping out experienced forum members play-test their newest projects is what I would recommend is the best way to learn how to modify your own copy of World at War and make an name for yourself at the same time.
