ok so ive been watching treminaor's tutorial videos on installing the standalone mod and when i want to recompile my map i have to do something with the cod project mover, so i have my map and i compile it and add my mod.ff and change it localized_mapname.ff then i get the mod.ff and i move the files. so say i add in another wall weapon to my map and recompile my map, now what do i have to do in the cod project mover? please make the solution as simple as possible for i am only a begginer

You open the project you saved with the correct settings for your map. Then you hit "Move Files" and you're done.

ok when i launch my map i get this weird ass alien font? and i added a wall gun and then i recompiled my map and then went to cod project mover moved files and ove wrote my previous save please tell me if i did this wrong and why i have    a weird font

If you have a weird font then you moved the files incorrectly. Refer back to treminaors tutorial where he shows how to use the project mover. Once you have settings you like go to file>save and save the project somewhere on your computer so you can use it later.

OK im still not getting this i cannot comprehend this so i have done evrything step by step in the video i play works like a charm i add a weapon recompile it then i open the cod project mover hit move files save then play the map get a weird font so when i got back please tell me step by step what imust do i dont care about my setting as long as it works as intended

Open the program, Select your map on the mod folder drop down list. Then click "Add Files" and select the mod.ff in appdata\local\activision\CoDWaW\mods\*MAPNAME* (MAKE SURE YOU SELECT THIS FIRST!). Once it is in the program select it and in the rename box change the name to "localized_*MAPNAME*.ff"(IT IS IMPORTANT YOU INCLUDE THE .FF EXTENSION AS THE PROGRAM WILL NOT DO IT FOR YOU!). Next click "Add Files" again and go back to appdata\local\CoDWaW\mods. Now you want to go to the folder called "ugx_mod" where the default ugx mod is. Select the mod.ff inside the folder. In the program make sure that your maps mod.ff is above the UGX-MOD's mod.ff. Once you have done that with your maps mod.ff selected in the program you can hit "Move Files" Which will move the ff's for you. That's all you need to do. This is all info I took from the video in about 30 seconds.

so every time you recompile your map you do exactly this?
No, once you get these settings you go to file>save and save the .cpm file somewhere. Then when you want to move your files again you open the program and go to file>open and open the .cpm file you previously saved. Then hit move files and you are done.

i do exactly that except i dont use appdata because it not my root folder but then when i launch my map i get this weird alien like font
appdata is where the game detects maps. Of course your root folder isn't there. You have two mod folders.

ok so what i said was instead of getting the mod.ff files from the appdata location i got them from the root folder, so what your saying is that i need to do it from the appdata and this will fix my problems (hopefully)

Yes, you get the ugx-mod's mod.ff and your maps mod.ff selected in the program from the appdata location.

Does the program have permission to write files? Make sure you are running the program as an administrator. If that doesn't work then you are doing something wrong. In the case it doesn't work send me a screenshot of the project mover window with your maps cpm file open.
