I used to have this problem and i dont know if it is yours, but the user i used on my computer wasnt an administrative, so i had to type the password for the admin user, but then it would go to the admins activision folder since all the users get it when installing, so if ur user is not an admin then it probably is your problem just make your user a admin and hit yes when asking for permission

I had this happen to me, it might be your common.ff if you have messed with it at all..

I used a mod menu to have fun on der riese with friends and that requires to change your common.ff so you might need a clean common.ff
