Zombie Movement Errors

So, in a map that I have zombies spawn behind a clipping, yet they have a way into the playable area, there's some risers. The risers outside of the map function normally, entering the playable area through a stairway with a player clipping, and are able to find and attack the player. However, I had risers inside the playable area, where they should have came up and gone towards the player. Yet, they ignore the player completely, even if the player walks into their path, they walk straight towards the edge of the playable area, where they walk to a corner, and then they turn around and attack the player. It's as if they want to go to the path nodes that are outside the playable area, then try to attack the player. I also had a spawner on the roof of a building near the playable area, from which zombies would theoretically drop into the playable area. Even though their path nodes and traverse nodes were set up right, they spawned and stood on the roof not moving at all. How would I fix these problems?
