Der Berg is the back door of Der Riese. A similar place that is built on a different place on the same world.


-1.1a-
-The mods size has been reduced to 355 MB from 515 MB. The sounds got converted using the standard ADPCM instead of PCM.

-1.1-
-There was a bug that made the trap do no damage at all.
-The zombies wouldn't go away during solo revive.
-The vision changes wouldn't work when you go down.
-Reload bug with MG08.

-We've had numerous bug reports about firesale on co op but I guess those couldn't be fixed because it wasn't possible to reproduce those bugs on our end.

I highly recommend you play this map using ReshadeFx. I modified it to make the map look so much better than WaW itself could. I also recorded all the videos while it was enabled. To install ReshadeFx, you just need to extract the files into your WaW root directory.
You can turn it on/off by pressing "Scroll Lock"

pretty damn good
BUT
the solo quick revive has some bugs ,
 the zombies are waiting in front of me ,
 and the weapon when  down dont kill well

Excellent map! Plays very well: from layout to the sounds and weapons. Didn't even have the graphics mod and the map still managed to look beautiful! One thing I noticed though is that the pack a punched M1911 didn't do any damage to dogs, not sure if that's intentional or a glitch.

Definitely worth the wait! Would recommend everyone to try this map out!

Your sir shouldn't just give yourself a pat on the back, you should give yourself a 2 week holiday to a tropical island where you will be treated like a king! This map is so fun and I have only been playing this for an hour! you were able to give der riese a whole new coat of paint (plus adding your own areas) and was able to make it seem like it could be its own map. I love the new sound effects like the guns, weather and even the fire sale music XD lets not forget about the atmosphere with all the mountains in the distance and the out of bounds areas which give the illusion that make the map even bigger! I sort of get this der riese combined with summit from the bo1 multiplayer map. I'm sorry if this was a long comment but I haven't enjoyed a map like this in forvever, I hope more comes your way in the future :)

I got a huge smile on my face when I saw this was released! Absolutely loved it! ;D


Just one thing though - I accidentally downed myself with the Scavenger (in co-op) but instead of doing the zombie-style down, it restarts the whole level.

This map is so polished. literally i jumped in snow for about 10 min just because if the satisfying crunch of snow sound.
This is a true master piece. From the beautiful background detail to the extremely fun map design. This map gives fun but challenging training spots to keep you awake and entertained. It has multiple camping spots that all feel like that fun spot to camp on der reise. The only thing this map is missing is a main ee but who needs 1 when u could go in  a game slay some zombies to your liking without having to find parts or fill up soul boxes even tho it would of been a nice touch this is still really good map. 10/10 i wish u the best of luck bro.
P.S. I noticed all the things you did to spruce up the map detail like the underground place detail is so amazing cause you only go in a certain part of it yet the whole underground place is filled with life.  :D ::) <3

This map took my breath away. I played it with 3 other friends last night and we all were screaming out, "Whoa! Look at this! Look over there! Oh my god look at the detail!" It was real fun. I think your mapping skills are way beyond Treyarch or anyone else for that matter. You blew me away.  :D

The map came out great. I like the way stamin-up was set up. It provides an issue for when the player goes down and wants to buy it again, yet at the same time it also allows the player to get the perk early. I also love how you get electric cherry on this map.

Or that I just may have to reinstall the map. lol you trying to see that epic looking backdrop and cave areas aren't you. hahaha I gotta warn you with maps of this magnitude, devmap tends to not work. It loads to much stuff and Cod waw can't handle it.

Hey just wanted to report some bugs after my first few plays as you said you would come out with an update soon:

-On co-op my friends and I were on round 25 when the game just restarted out of nowhere...Never seen this happen in any map before so I do not really know how else to describe it. No game over screen, no sound que.

-Red/Dark screens after co-op revives that do not go away for some time (may be intentional)

-Hint string breaks sometimes after high rounds on co-op

My friends absolutely loved this map and it is a blast co-op,  my girlfriend even loves playing it too. I hope the random restart bug is able to be fixed I am hesitant with playing for high rounds again because of it.

Could you tell me more about the error?

In co-op. That happened after restarting map. When i respawned, i had just a pistol.Then i bought Commando on the wall, took Olympia from the Box and i choose M1911 to replacing. But i observed that i got 3 guns, M1911 didn't replace to Olympia. Then i bought from the Box M16 and Ray Gun, so i could choose between that 5 guns. I didn't bought more guns after that, but i suppose i could take more and more guns 8)

This is a great map, the amount of detail (especially in the cave area) is awesome. I need to figure out how to enable noclip to see all the neat little things you put in it.

The only suggestion I have would be to give the shotguns the fixed crosshairs for hipfiring rather than the rifle/SMG style where they become less accurate on the move, and probably change the KS-23 to have a 3+1 round mag and a whole wack more damage (It's a 6.23 gauge/23mm shotgun after all).

The zomb's spawn is far too close to you and that way, the map is less enjoyable because it's no use to do tricks with them and run away :( :'(

So please c.h.n (i already do this in the t4m map oil rig and it works well ! :) ) can you indicate me the line where i can change the nomber wich determine the zomb's spawn range... (moreover the entire way : folder etc...) ! :P :o ::)

I like it, but it isn't challenging enough in my opinion. No boss zombies or anything. I played with 4 people and it was just too easy. When we finally went down it was because we'd lost all will to live.

Does the ReShade mod override t4m? I know, I know, this map doesn't use t4m but I do play quite a few maps on a regular basis that need t4m and I also love that I can use "cg_fov 90" without having cheats enabled.

I've read all the comments you've sent (including youtube comments) and i would like to say a few things.

The limits were the greatest obstacles I had to go through. I didn't use T4M as a matter of principle although I would have used it if it increased the limits on terrain patches and brushes because those were the actual limits i was strugling with.

The map you're playing is actually incomplete. I'm calling it incomplete because I couldn't add the things I wanted the most. I couldn't add the things that are actually fun. Let me tell you about those.

You would go to the Der Fünf area (the lab from Five) after every 3-6 teleportations to collect items.

There was supposed to be bottles where the PaP machine is and those would be called pap perks. Players could only have 3 of them at max. Those who had them would go to the place where PaP machine is and upgrade their weapons while enjoying a good view.

You would be able to go to the other side of this door by blowing it up after a certain round. Then you could go to the last stand area where after you collect some items to use the elevator and then go to the last stand areayou  had to fight the zombies on an infinite round until the end of the game.

It would be harder to camp on here because there was supposed to be a sniper that would shoot you and you could only kill it with an upgraded Dragunov.

Well hey, it's a beautiful map regardless. The best maps are the ones that are meticulously crafted rather than the ones with the most weapon ports and the most perks, because at the end of the day, zombies is a cinematic gamemode (as much as I hate the phrase "cinematic," 30FPS is not "cinematic" CAPCOM). Hell, the lightning that strikes on dog rounds is a rather small detail in the grand scheme of things, but it's so important thematically: It gives me goosebumps every time it happens. You've managed to create an absolutely stunning map that adheres to the core zombies experience and sets an awe-inspiring setting, all without the crutch of T4M. That's a feat in itself, and I praise you for it.

I personally just bind cg_fov 90 and cg_fovscale 1.1 to "W", works for every map.

these were all planned at some point but cancelled either during or before implementation due to the limits of the engine.

Copy and Pasting? bit more to it than that now, opening a folder is just as difficult, if not the most difficult part of installing T4M

I'm gonna make a quick written review of this map

Level design : The map is beautiful and contains a lot of detail inside and outside the map. Contains a good fog, fx's are used well and the snow itself is very well designed. This is a 9/10 for me.
Features/Gameplay : A classic Der Riese style using almost every features of Der Riese (I was hopping the map having headspeakers for power/linking teleporters) Added 3 more perks (Hadn't done the EE, sorry :( ) The setup is made quickly and there aren't much things to do. But for respecting a classic fun Der Riese style, I'll give a 7/10
Execution : When I saw the pictures and I started downloading, I was affraid that my PC will lag and was hoping caulking/portaling were made well. And I was right : not a single lag while playing. Excellent job for this. However, Stamin'up is glitchy as fuck : It was on when the power were off. And it was off when the power were turned on (And sometimes, Stamin'up would turn on randomly. Happened when played with 2 players) Otherwise, it is a 8/10

Overall, this is a 8/10. Beautiful Der Riese map which is a succesful upgraded Der Riese. Good work on this one !

Stamin-up works like that in the map. Some of the perks work differently on this map: Stamin-up goes on and off randomly, Mule Kick is available once you activate the teleporters and Electric Cherry is received when completing a small easter egg.

Great map, keep it up! ;D I love how it keeps the same layout as Der Riese 8). My only nit-pick would be how little time you have to connect the teleporters. You have earned "Seal Of Approval" from some guy on the forums who has nothing better to do but complain about some maps about their tiny little quirks (me). :D

An amazing work of art. Maps like these really take me back to the days  when Der Riese and the rest of those maps were brand new and there was a whole new journey right around the corner for the whole lot of us. Have yet to report any major game-breaking bugs but so far a great map to play (even if I am alone  :alone:)

Hi.

*There was a bug that made the trap do no damage at all.
*The zombies wouldn't go away during solo revive.
*The vision changes wouldn't work when you go down.
*Reload bug with MG08.

We've had numerous bug reports about firesale on co op but I guess those couldn't be fixed because it wasn't possible to reproduce those bugs on our end.


The link is updated. You can hopefully have a better co op experience now.

Holy crap, this is an awesome map. I've only played it a few times but I think it might be one of my favorite WAW maps now! And to think this came at a time when custom maps are really lacking both on WAW and BO3! Really great job, man!

Amazing map, very well made. Definitely worth downloading. One glitch I noticed was Quick Revive on solo, sometimes it revives you sometimes it doesn't. I haven't noticed a pattern or anything, just random.

Nice map, but i found a glitch, when you pay 950 for a random weapon, then pick the death machine bonus AND THEN while you have the death machine, take your random weapon, it gives you infinite gun slots, i bought every single weapon in the map and they were all in my inventory at the same time  :D :D :D

I really enjoyed this map, the detail is amazing and the setting is a fresh twist on familiar scenery. This mod should be an example of what makes a map worth playing. The bridge and 3 timed teleporters are older scripts but perfectly executed in the map. 10/10 Sir, Good Game.

So when I have played it, it was still beautiful despise of what graphics I was running on my laptop. And now I do have really good frame rates on that map (around 60fps on the lowest resolution, 30fps on native 720p). It performs very well as much on how beautiful the map looks. And I can tell there's some fallout references in it as well.

Although there's this one time when I had tried to jump out of the zombie grasp (with quick revive), I had been down and the zombie hit me one more time and it killed my character before the zombies were supposed to break away.

This is probably the best-looking map I have ever played in WAW. I audibly gasped when I walked out onto the cliffside for the first time. I wish I had the reaction on camera. I also liked how the map was a recreation of Der Riese, but actually reimagined to be larger and more complex.

Great map, and a good starting place for anybody who is new to zombie modding.

Wow! Just wow. Beautiful map. Lots of attention to detail. Very good framerate. Amazing lighting.

Despite that, I just wish it had some quest or ee. The map is quite large and too easy. Because its easy, there are limited wonder weapons. There are no boss, only dogs. You can practically camp until wave 30 easily. Once you pap, gameplay could be doozy.

Anyway, in terms of visual, I would ranked it among Clinic of Evil, Leviathan, Das Harrenhous.

Really great map. The lightning on dog rounds can get a little annoying when youre in a building and your screen flashes, but it isn't too bad. Definitely one of the better ones I've ever played.
