It sounds like you are missing or typed in the wrong kvps.
And yes Dynamic path is needed before moving the door.
Maybe the door is too small for the zombies to go through?
post screenshots of the kvp's of the door/trigger/clip etc so we can take a look a them, and prob see what's wrong.
dynamicpaths isn't a KVP ( you could enter it like the spawnflag kvp i guess, but ignore that ) it's a simple box you can tick:

and no you dont do it for everything that works for the door, only for the 'physical' door. So the model/brushes/clips, not the trigger or whatever else you might have..
If one tutorial doesn't work/is missing stuff, look for a better one. The game is about 8 years old, and there's milions of tutorials in prob more language's than you or me can speak so you prob just picked a bad one.. Something like adding a zone or a door should be tons of info for..
Also, a new room kinda needs a new zone if you want to keep zombie spawns going and add a bit of challenge so i would look for a new zone-tutorial as well if i where you..
it connects the pathnodes when you open the door, so select all script_brushmodels/script_models and/or clips that make the actual door, and enable the dynamic-paths for them in radiant. Then it should work.

did you tick the 'dynamic path' spawnflag on your door?
Do you still get an error message though?
