It sounds like you are missing or typed in the wrong kvps.
And yes Dynamic path is needed before moving the door.

I have Dynamic path on the Debris object.

I have typed the right keys, i double checked and even rebuildt the whole thing with a tutorial whitch worked for me on the first door.

Hello.I am currently working on a map and i just added my secound door. (My first one works perfectly)

I used the same way (Script model debris) and used almost the same targetnames (just numbers changed).

Since i have no ideas what spawnflags do i just used the same spawnflag (1).

now when i try to open the door there is no text, just a hand symbol (you might know that symbol from the campaign)

When i press f nothing happens.Please help.On request i can send you the map data and other stuff.Cheers!

Hello!
I installed tom_bmx´s music box on my map.
I wanted to add some of my music to it so i followed this tutorial: https://www.zombiemodding.com/index.php?topic=1516.0

Note: the part of how to export the sound is cut off at the point "And select the following.." after that it just tells me to save the file and close audacity. Idk if the export settings could cause my errors. (I got a WAV because thats what the most people are useing i guess)

Everything else i did just like the tutorial. I got the correct menu text with my songname etc.
even when I click the song ingame it tells me it is playing it and i have to wait 200 secs (length of my song) before selecting a new one.
But it does just not play any song.
please help.

By the way i think this should be in the scripting help forum part, my bad :(

Help :(
When i place the maschines in radiant it shows me the normal skins (for deadshot jugg, mulekick = speed, etc) and ingame the maschines are invisible!
I can still buy the perks and they are working but there is no drinking animation and it only shows a black box at the bottom left where the symbol should be!

Help! I did everything just after the tutorial :(

Maybe the door is too small for the zombies to go through?

dynamicpaths isn't a KVP ( you could enter it like the spawnflag kvp i guess, but ignore that ) it's a simple box you can tick:

and no you dont do it for everything that works for the door, only for the 'physical' door. So the model/brushes/clips, not the trigger or whatever else you might have..


If one tutorial doesn't work/is missing stuff, look for a better one. The game is about 8 years old, and there's milions of tutorials in prob more language's than you or me can speak so you prob just picked a bad one.. Something like adding a zone or a door should be tons of info for..
Also, a new room kinda needs a new zone if you want to keep zombie spawns going and add a bit of challenge so i would look for a new zone-tutorial as well if i where you..

I tried it with DYNAMICPATH as you just showed me but it did not work for me.
The door is buyable and just usual and everything the start_zone is going far behind the door and still the zombies are not following me...

I guess ill look for a better tut next time..

it connects the pathnodes when you open the door, so select all script_brushmodels/script_models and/or clips that make the actual door, and enable the dynamic-paths for them in radiant. Then it should work.

So i should select all the things that work for that door (including the script brushes etc.) and put in 'dynamic path' spawnflag?

Next question:
Is spawnflag the key or the value then?
(I think the key if i follow by logic but i want to make this one sure.)

Ok never mind i just tried that and its still not working :(

Can i send you my map data or smthn to make sure you can see everything?

did you tick the 'dynamic path' spawnflag on your door?

I dont have any Spawnflags on my door :o
I do totally not know a thing about spawnflags..

(maybe because i followed the instructions of an 3 year old tutorial on how to build buyable doors  :ok:

What would the dynamic path spawnflag do?

Hello!
I am kind of familiar with zones now. (I had some trouble with that in my last few forum posts.)

My current (and probably most f*cked up) problem is that my zone is not working as it should..
So.. I got 2 completely equal rooms just next to each other with a door between em.
I took my start_zone volumen (which is working just fine in the first room) and spreaded it up to the secound room (via 2D editor thingy) so the volumen now perfectly fits into both rooms, no uncovered spaces and perfectly placed path notes.

Short overview: 2 rooms, 1 volumen but they are over 2 rooms.

Now to the problem:

The zombies spawn but when i go to the other room they just stay where they are like total retards....
They dont follow me anymore unless i get back to their room..

For me this is just weird because the zone should be working just fine...

Maybe sone one is familiar to this problem here?

Do you still get an error message though?

nope no error message, but it does also not finish to compile the map.
As i said the linker_pc still stopps working.

It finally worked.
I didnt do anything, i just spammed the sh*t out of the compile button  :lol:

Hey!
I just tried to compile my map in the launcher.
But after some compiling (at the linker_pc compiling) linker_pc stopps working!
Shortly before is stopps it shoes me this in the console:

I already tried to restart my pc and close all bigger programs to get ram free...
nothing worked so far!

Hello!
I want to remove all my zones from my map so the zombies can move around just by placeing the path notes. (I saw that working in an youtube tutorial but i dont know how because the ugx script placer map comes in with an zone)

Is there a way to do so? Because i want to keep my map really simple and i figured out another way that zones to activate my spawners after buying the doors..
