I had radiant open for about 10 min then I close it down add some custom textures then try to reopen it and nothing happend so i tried to load my map file from previous file list and got this:



PLEASE HELP ME (Trem I'm looking your way)

hey,

so i would like to put some models from Cod 4 in to my zombies map. i have a legitimate steam copy of cod. so my question is does any one have a link or know of one for the modtools for cod 4 i have had a look but im not 100% sure on which sites are safe to download from and which arent also there seems to be a few different "cod4 mods" floating around and i want to make sure i have the correct one for what i am doing.

hey everyone i'm new to map making over the last few months, and this is my first ever map (well i have another i started which was a little ambitious for first try so that has been put aside for awhile, so i can get used to mapping.) so here is what i have done so far hope you guys like what you see and read.

Map "Story"

not really an indepth story but in the not too distant future a "virus" has spread across Britain and streets and villages have been quarantined for the safety of the uninfected. a four man team has be dispatched to one of the quaratined zones (Wychall Road-pronounced "which-all" my street). their job is to investigate the severity of the outbreak and take any action necessary to escape and report their findings. after searching one of the homes they finally realise the situation they are in is far worse then they thought.

note. this is the 1st in apotential series of maps

just loaded my map not really changed much since i last checked it and got this

1)what does in mean
2)how do i fix it

ok so i have about 8 blops guns in my map. 7 of them work and can be up graded no problem at all

i have just added the Ithaca/Stakeout to my map and it works fine as standard however the Pap machine wont accept the gun when i try to upgrade it.

i have followed the same process as the other 7 weapons to make it upgradeable. however this has not work in have deleted the weapon and started the whole thing frome scratch but get the same issue.


any ideas.

is there a limit on how many weapons i can have as upgradeable in my map because at this point i have not removed any "original" weapons from my map(i do plan to soon)?

hey i know there is away to extract the chalk out lines from blops however i currently dont own it for pc does anyone have any that they might have drawn out or what ever that they could share? i would try and draw them myself however i suck at drawing hahaha

not a rush topic just would appreciate the help.

if it isnt doable for any particular reason then no problem

so i have changed my start weapon from the colt to a cz75 and it works

however when the player spawns in you have to press change weapon for it to be usable. otherwise its as if your player is running around unarmed

its not a massive issue because you do have the weapon but to make it more asthetically pleasing to start with gun in hand.

any ideas to fix this?

i used zk's tut if that helps at all

so i followed ZK's blackops gun tutorial and there are two guns i really want in my map hk21 and stoner. the problem is when i build the mod i get them message back saying it can't find images there are about 11. so this means the guns are like 70% invisible :( in radiant and game.

i followed the zk tut and did what he does (copying a recognised image and the changing the names to missing file names to try and fix how ever its making no difference.

should i try an reskin the guns layers maybe?

any ideas

so, i have an issues in my map where my grass texture brushes are allowing light to pass through them and you can also see any windows and glass in the back ground through i think it is also happening with water aswell .

i have an example of a garden hedge i made (dont ask but the best texture was a grass one)



any ideas on how to stop this and make the texture "solid" so no lihgt will pass through

hey everyone,

does any one know of a link with a tutorial on how to put a custom skin on to a weapon?
i have had a look but i have limited time at the a computer, for the next few weeks so i would apprieciate it if a could get a point in the right direction to save me some time.

Not a huge issue but any advice welcome.

So i have got the Bamskater BlOps perks in my map and they all work great, however PHD and Mule kick machines are really Dark almost blacked out in game they look fine in radiant. i have changed the lighting around them and its as if they become more visable with less lighting but still very very dark compared to others. so is there away of changing that or should i see if i can get new models and just edit them into the prefabs. if that is the case is there a link to the machine models only?

hey so i am making a map of a street and at the edges of the street the cool of the groun is fine :



however when you get close to the center of the street there seems to be a Blue haze like in the dog rounds (even though dog rounds are disabled on my map) how ever this foggy haze is pressent in all rounds:



i have lighting in place and reflection probes in place
any ideas?

so my map idea is that you start in the bottom of an abandend surfaced submarine (uboat) and make your way up on to the deck for Pap and the Endgame. so obviously most of the map is under the surface level . the issues im having now that i have added dynamic water are:

1)the spawn room and 95% of the map are now under water and un-playable dispite being in  a big sealed box under the surface level

note/ i have moved the spawn on to the deck and removed doors to check if it is the enitre map is submerged, it is fine on deck you can see that you are on a sub in the ocean however when you climb the ladder down in to the sub you are esentially swiming once you get level with the water that is on the outside of the sub. all though there is no visble texture in the room, except a bluish tint once you are swimming and looking in to the map.

before any one asks the water segments are separate for the main stucture in radiant and they do not over lap any walls

2) the dynamic water looks great except it is really bright on the surface almost white in colour (color).

any help greatly appreiciated :)
