I'm interested in how mapping works and I decided to try to learn how to, but I'm not sure what my first map should be. I was thinking a box map since they seem pretty easy to make but people seem to hate box maps  . Also are there any good resources that I could read/ watch to learn about mapping?

I for some reason kinda like box maps, but I noticed that most of them get boring by round 15 or so (which is because they are box maps duh), but I was wondering if there are any box maps that are packed with a lot of stuff so that you could play it to round 30ish or so and not get bored?
