YAW Christmas Contest map. (YAW Footage at the bottom of post)


I had a blast making this in such a short time.  A big Thankyou to YAW for having this contest and also UGX for allowing them to host it on the site!  I really hope more of this happens in the future!

Best of Luck to all the mappers in the contest! I'm blown away at the work you guys have put out!

Bugs I've fixed since YAW played through it:
  • BO perks now have shaders
  • fixed drops from happening out of reach
  • Moved/added spawns to help prevent camping
  • added to layout a tiny bit to also help prevent camping
  • Sorry guys but I removed Tranzit zombies. 
    They had several bugs and I want you to enjoy the map as much as possible
  • Buyable ending is now 45,000(was 25,000)

This map is very challenging solo!!! I will release a solo guide on my youtube channel in a couple days!

I Guess it's my turn for an update.  Sorry I haven't shown much on this map guys... I want it to be a surprise when you play the map!!! ;)

I've had a blast mapping this!!! As I stated before I'm not the best modder/scripter but I tried to lean on what I love to do which is the overall mapping/detailing.

I hope you guys have a great Thanksgiving and I look forward to playing all the maps in this contest!!!

A big thanks to Sajeone for pointing me in the right direction for fixing viewhands issue... (still tweaking it a bit)

As most of you know I'm busy with work and family these days so I haven't been able to invest as much time as I would like... However, I'm going to do my very best to put a good product out there! With that in mind I'm going to focus more on the mapping rather than changing up the mod.

Very impressed with what I've seen from the other mappers in this contest!! Looking forward to a winter full of FUN maps!!!

This map is not recommended for people who are new to custom zombies... It is CHALLENGING!!!! I made it that way!!!

Please don't ask for an easier version... Be prepared to play the map several times before you beat it!!

I will release a Solo strategy guide in a week or so...

Alright... so I have a question for the UGX community.  I'm working on something and I'm torn between what to add... So here's my question...

 If you could have 5 BO (not BO2) weapons in a map(small/close quarters style) which ones would you want???

I know this is kind of random but when what I'm doing is released hopefully it will make more sense.

Any and all input is welcome. 8)

I didn't word it right and I want to make sure you guys know that if you put effort and thought into your map then I'm not referring to you or your map.

Alright guys... This is my first time doing something like this so Hopefully I do it right and it's helpful!!!

How to make Models/Brushmodels Move (Trains in Zombie Train)

Radiant

Create a script model and call it:
targetname
train

Create a trigger_use and call it:
targetname
train_trig

Create a script brushmodel and call it:
targetname
door

That's it for the radiant side of things...



Scripts

Place in your Mapname.gsc after maps\_zombiemode::main();

Week 1

What's up everyone!!! Super Pumped to be releasing my first UGX map!!!

 It's called Zombie Train and it hints on my small obsession with trains.

Map Features
  • UGX mod v1.0
  • Easter eggs... (must find to move through the map)
  • Buyable Ending... a new twist to custom zombie endings.(when you reach the 35k bear that is NOT the end!)
  • TRAINS!!!!!!! Yes they function!!!  :P :o
  • All Gametypes
  • Black Ops perks
  • Buyable & free(hidden) powerups
  • Free Weapons
  • richtofen????? just maybe!!!

As always with my maps...
It's a little tough to play at first. Please try a couple times before you give up!!! When all else fails... TRAIN!!!!

How would I make it so once the player/players enter the last zone the zombies only spawn there?

Here's the script I've pieced together from some teleporting script.

Alright Guys... You asked for it so... I did my best to make it happen!!!!
Here's the easier version of "The Shack"

Here's the changes I made...
  • Round color(bottom left) is White instead of Red.
  • You spawn in with 500 instead of 200 points
  • Zombies don't run from the start and don't sprint at all.
  • Axe kills give you 90 instead of 70 points
  • Quick Revive is now 500 points
  • Buyable Double points is 1500 instead of 2000 points also the respawn time is less.
  • and Finally... You Can make Crawlers!!!! (MrZombiesFanatic's video says you need 3 or more but that's only on the original "The Shack") The Shack for tots can just have 1 crawler.

Hope you guys enjoy the new version of the map! I've spent a lot of time trying to make this map the best that it can be... and I just want it to be fun for everyone!
