Raze (formerly known as the Unnamed Map of Awesome) is the ninth custom zombies map released by Pashan.

Intro: Howdy Ho everybody! Jaden here with a review of the recently released zombies map Raze. Raze takes place a few hours before the events of Pashan's eighth map Overflow. If you have seen my signature, you'd already know this: I have tested Raze, but I will be blatantly honest on my opinion's of it.

Setting: Raze takes place in a deserted building demolished in the chaos of the zombie outbreak. The map begins with pashan's familiar approach - a safe area with no zombies and lot's of detail. Upon dropping down to the floor below, players set foot in a dismal room with clutter and blood splatter all over.

Positives: Raze is a big step up from Overflow and a worthy prequel to it. Pashan has done an exceptional job on every feature including guns, scripts and easter eggs. Additionally, the map is challenging and doesn't have an immense amount of room to run around in. Raze has all Black Ops weapons, a custom perk, a custom power-up and a way to double PAP your weapons! What more could you ask for?

Negatives: If you are a fan of making trains then just know this isn't the map for you. Can you run circles? Certainly. Is it easy? Not at all. This map is geared towards the above average zombie slayer. All the tight spaces, mobs of sprinting zombies and lack of a wonder weapon makes surviving, especially on solo much more difficult. I personally love intense zombie maps, but I have a few friends and know many people that would rage if they can't beat the map within a few attempts. That's all I got for the negatives... The map is pretty sweet.

Wish It Was There: I wish there was a wonder weapon. Every map has one and with the abundance of zombies in Raze, it would be neat to have. In my opinion, the Winter's Howl would have been a perfect match for this map. Sadly, all we have to defend ourselves is a puny Ray Gun, which loses it's effectiveness by the mid 30's.

Conclusion: It is a fun map to play as it throws in many features of the BO1 zombie maps. I would highly recommend playing this map if you haven't already. Pashan did a great job on this zombies map and overall, he's come a long way in map making. Can't wait to see what he serves up next!

Should you download this map? – Hell Yes.

Level of Detail: 7/10 (I feel like I've played zombies in an abandoned building before...)
Custom Content: 9/10 (Raze has a ton of custom content, but there could be more)
Fun Scale: 7/10 (There are minor bugs and it's a frustrating map for some players)
Replayability: 8/10 (There are new features, but they don't improve gameplay much)

Overall Score: 31/40

The Bunker is the first custom zombies map made by Adam Paul (thebeast2365).

Intro: Hey, what's good everyone? I'm Jaden and this is my first attempt at a custom zombies map review so go easy on me! I've played The Bunker a couple of times now and I gotta say it's pretty enjoyable. There are a lot of tight and tough engagements, as well as two open areas players can comfortably rapetrain in.

Setting: The Bunker begins outside of a tiny house in Berlin, Germany. There are dead soldiers scattered around the yard and zombies are trying to eat you. Upon purchasing the first door (a bookshelf) players enter a menacing underground Nazi shelter with an escaped test subject on the loose.

Positives: The Bunker is a decent size and it flows fairly well - There aren't any isolated areas. There are spots for campers and trainers alike and mowing down zombies is made easy with the elemental staffs from Origins. It also has an easter egg in which you have to power four generators and decontaminate the place. The map has some black ops weapons as well as a custom trap called "The Grinder" which opens up a pit of spinning blades for zombies to drop into.

Negatives: The Bunker unfortunately is ridden with problems. If you fall into The Grinder, you can only escape via bleeding out and losing your stuff (in a solo match this causes a game over). You are a three hit kill w/o juggernog, the guns aren't balanced, the custom injection power-up's effects never go away and zombies have a tendency to pause (and eventually die out) at certain barriers. Additionally, many people have been experiencing a frame rate issue on this map, some are saying that it's so bad the map is unplayable.

Wish It Was There: I wish the Cosmic Silverback had his original animations. His massive size and his abundance of health was really cool. The siren/announcer to warn you he was coming was frightening in all the right ways. Sadly, the vibe dies right when he appears behind a barrier (no epic zombie bosses do this) and runs around just like a normal zombie.

Conclusion: It is a reasonably entertaining map to survive on especially if you play with some friends. I would recommend playing this map if you haven't already. Adam did a great job for his first zombies map and I'm hoping to see more content from him.

Should you download this map? – Yes.

Level of Detail: 6/10 (He went a little overboard in some areas)
Custom Content: 7/10 (I like features in zombie maps to feel polished as hell)
Fun Scale: 8/10 (The bugs found in the map are what hurt the score)
Replayability: 6/10 (It's nothing you haven't seen before, besides the Cosmic Silverback)

Overall Score: 27/40

Is it unconventional for me to pay a visit to UGX after eleven at night solely because JBird usually releases his WIP updates around this time? :ok:

I was wondering... how many weapons can you have in a map... UGX Mod v1.1 supposedly has 100 (elemental & papd variants included). so what is the maximum amount of guns possible within a custom zombies map?

hi guys, i kinda wanted some advice/guidance on this. I've been wanting to step up and make custom maps for a long time now. it looks really difficult and well frustrating from the outside and i was thinking of tackling my first project in an interesting fashion. instead of trying to release one giant sexy map i was thinking i could release three maps in a bundle that are nothing less than great but that are relatively smaller in size. somewhat like the town, bus depot, farm trio but not fiery, foggy and repetitive. just trying to get some feedback on the concept for i dive in :-\

I'm pretty much a mapmaking noob, but I've played a ton of custom zombies maps. It's great to see that everyone here is open-minded and friendly! The UGX 1.1 is beautiful with the new HUD and perk icons + features from newer Call of Dutys; it looks updated and sexy. You guys know where it's at!  8)
