would it be possible to say model your own viewhands and then bind them to the already existing joints from a pair of viewhands?

ok so recently i modeled a weapon on my own and i am trying to animate it heres the problem the weapon has a really blocky  look in real life and on the model, so i want it to maintain that feel but when i export it i always have to average my normals, or else i will get an error, Object [bodyShape] has zero-length normals. for Face and Vertices, and the gun looks like crap, i was wondering if there was a workaround or solution, heres how much it affects the gun

 this is the error i get when i export my model i checked the normals and they all look fine to me

i know that the perk bottle are just weapon files my question is one how do you change the weapon files and two how do i make the weapon file like what animation i need if you can help please comment,

is there anyway i can make it so it looks correct when you hold a weapon in thirdperson, so your arms aren't just holding up air?

ok so i ran into this problem and i know why its happening but i dont know how to fix it, but basically i used the cod 4 anims to match me weapon and exverything is fine except when i reload there is no clip just the body, so the hands just do the anim and thats it, the problem is my viewmodel when i exported it doesnt have the clip, just the body but when i export it from maya i have the clip mesh selected along with the tag clip joint, and i have force export selected joints. can anyone help me?

but in tom_bmx's utils the clip and the joints are all there

when i try to convert my anims i get this error from asset manager

ERROR: not exactly one root bone for xanim (xanim file location) with delta'

i am using the cod 4 anim rig can anyone help?

ok so i used the cod 4 anims to fit my weapon all good but i need cod 4 viewhands for the ads because the cod 4 ads joints move the gun and the waw veiwhands dont so if anyone would please export a set of cod 4 viewhands that would be awesome

how is it done ive added my weapon file to the ugxm_guns.iwd and in my weapons/sp folder and when i launch my map in devmap and type give m8a1 it doesnt do anything

ok so im at a stand still with a perk i want to script and i dont know how to code it so it adds more damage toy your weapons like 25% damage, could any one help me?

alright guys so i have a question that i know isnt very easy to answer verbally but is an easy question, how do you texture a weapon, like in maya i have all my uv maps ready to go but from there where do i go? how do i make the gun looked detailed and look like a real gun? any tips or tricks or even tuts.

i have tried almost everything and whats happening is i have a weapon that i want to animate and i took the m16.VMGun.mb and added it to  my scene then i selected the m16 mesh and detached the skin, i have also tried it when i didnt detach the skin and then i deleted the mesh, next i moved the joints around to match my weapon and then binded them to  my mesh but, then saved it as .VMGun file and then when i open the m16_animation.mb and then try to switch the current rig file and choose my weapon i get this damn error every time and when the scene doesnt have the m16 in it my gun will go in fine heres the error

i would really apreciate some help thanks
