Storyline:
The 4 heroes find themselves stuck in the remnants of the Factory Z115 site. The factory had become corrupt prior to the zombie apocalypse, contributing to air pollution in their production of a new element Z115. Element Z115 creates enough energy in a gram to power NYC for a day, but the byproduct causes the transformation of a human into a zombie. Zombies are still running the factory, and the only way to save the world is to shut down Factory Z115.

Theme:
BlackJackJohnny has a series of youtube tutorials on how to use cod radiant. Before discovering his tutorials my mapping skills were extremely limited. I came across his videos when troubleshooting issues when working on my second map "Zombie National Park", which has been canceled due to my poor radiant practices. This map will contain mapping practices almost exclusively learned from BlackJackJohnny's tutorials.

Features:

     - Harrybo21 Perks
     - Secret Double Jug (find all 4 Jug Bottles)
     - Earnable buyable ending
           - survive rounds with friends or alone inside the factory
           - there is a twist to the ending
     - 5 Double PaP weapons (each with elemental effects!)
          - Uzi - can be double Pap'ed
          - Crossbow - can be double Pap'ed
          - Dragunov - can be double Pap'ed
          - Spas - can be double Pap'ed
          - Galil - can be double Pap'ed
     - Custom PaP weapons
     - Secret Door
     - Buyable Perk Slot (initial 4 perk limit)
     - BO Guns
     - Nuketown Characters and Zombie
     - Hitmarkers
     - Zipline
     - Knifing Blood Splatter

Notes:

     - Set specular map to off in Graphics settings
     - The map will be updated in the future
     - From start to finish the map took exactly 1 month (done over Xmas Break)
     - This is my second and last WaW map and was a preparation for BO3 Mod Tools

Edit: I  noticed it's T4M. If you're planning on updating it, please make it not require t4m, it's not too hard if you manage your assets correctly.  :poker: I don't play maps that use T4M, find it a lazy way out of a 400fx error or so on.  ;)

But you're right in that I can't see any reason why this map would need it to run.

I am garbage at managing my assets and I am pretty sure it is because I used CFG weapons. They wreck your assets

I will put an additional note in the notes section so everyone doesn't rag on me too hard for using CFG. I was at time constraints with college starting back up. I wanted to release before school and I have been putting my social life on hold. v2 will have my own ported weapons and will be optimized.

Rorke said he used hide tags on most weapons. The stuff is there just hidden. But I also don't have a full conceptual understanding of how fx and assets work. I ran out of time to learn and will learn while everyone enjoys an "unoptimized" v1 of the map.

I also think it is interesting that everyone hates T4M. If the resources are available I use them. It is lazy and poor practice but for now it will suffice.
Also Note: "I am garbage at managing my assets". I am not ragging on Rorke as I am happy enough to have had the easy road on the weapons in the first place.

Even if all the attachments are present but hidden with hide tags, the only limit that would affect would be the memory limit; which I don't think you are anywhere near at. What error do you get exactly if you try and run the map without T4M? And I agree the hostility towards T4M is baffling, I think I may make a post about it because I honestly don't know what some people's problem with it is. Anyway, the map looks nice, good job, always nice to see a mapper put some effort into his work. :)

Edit: There's a chance it may also bring you to the image/mtl limit too I suppose, but do you even have that many guns in the map?

Shadow issues are unrelated to the caulk box and were already noted.

All faces need to be textured with sky texture

map looks awesome , hate to see people quit making waw custom maps though , love bo3 , just hate you have to connect to internet to play zombies solo , sometimes my connection gets crazy some days and have to reset , so when that happens its nice to have waw custom maps to play , bo3 should have had an offline zombies solo play for pc , but anyway going to miss it , I know waw has been out a long time , just hate to see custom map making for waw retire .

Only made my way to the Jug room so far, just did a quick run-through. Love the challenge of having to survive 3 rounds to open the staircase in the Jug room. Love the option to purchase an extra perk slot for a fair price, makes the map more challenging. Also, love that the Commando is a wall buy. Definitely one of my favorite guns. 1st box pull was a Thundergun. I'm looking forward to playing this map further tomorrow. Thank you for creating  and sharing this map with the community.

A well made map no doubt, but the "Survive x rounds to open next door" got dragged out and made the game unessesarily long. Got bored "round watching".

Did you play solo? I am a big coop player and it is significantly more fun with friends. In coop the survive rounds can only be activated when all players are by the door. Hitmanvere said the same thing as you when he beta tested. Survive rounds and camping are a style of playing that some people dont like. No hard feelings  ;)

You see Relaxing's gameplay of this? Pls fix error.  :D

I don't mind t4m. I mind how mappers use it as a easy way out. Look at what maps have been made so far without it. Manage your assets correctly, and most maps won't need it. I decide not to play T4M maps to encourage the user to make maps without it :)

I get the point but to me its like owning a car and still walking everywhere.

Only that the car takes you faster to a place you could walk. A place you can walk with little effort, so why take the car when there is a better alternative that doesn't require an extra addon such as a car, aka T4M?

Well, I won't play simple maps like this one, where I can see that T4M isn't needed. But a map like Oil Rig? I can trust you that you need it, because I know that you're a good mapper, and wouldn't add it in without really needing it. My choice to not play t4m maps goes out to the maps I see don't need it. I try to help encourage them not to use it, and learn more in the process of managing assets.  ;)

It does not require skill to manage assets and picking at people's lack of knowledge is stupid in itself. I don't hate T4M, if I did the DLL wouldn't be in my WaW folder all the time (mostly because I cba in having Steam running and like to take my WaW folder from PC to PC, it has its advantages there as well), but all maps that currently "require" T4M shouldn't require it at all.

I have no issue with T4M, I have no issue with map's requiring it, I commend DUKIP and the guys who worked on it and released, I use it myself for the reason above, I do have an issue with an un-optimized map requiring it.

EDIT: Erm...This has majority gone off topic and this isn't the topic to be discussing this on, natesmithzombies has already been working on fixing his map as he mentioned, mappers optimize your maps and don't slap T4M badge on it. :P

Just checking, but this map is a ode to "BlackJackJohnny", but on YouTube, one of the persons you are subbed to is 'BlackJackJonnyy', is that the same person? If so, did you spell his name wrong on your map? Just trying to help you out, in case this was a mistake, and you might want to correct it. Again, great, challenging map. I'm enjoying it.

Thanks for taking it "on the chin" and not coming out with the usual "if you you dont like it...DONT PLAY IT!!1!" immature drivel that a lot of the high & might mappers come out with.

But yes I can see how it would be a lot easier, and more fun playing co-op , however, I prefer to play with myself.

That didn't come out quite the way I...

It is hard to put in literal days of work into a map and then have people bash it, which is why mappers have this response. I have learned that the people who actually do enjoy your map never comment anyway. I know there is a decent amount of people who came across this map and actually had a great time, plus my friends enjoyed it with me so it was worth it!

So me and my friend cant play the map :/ He is the host and he just gets a black screen every time and I just get stuck at the loading screen. The game doesnt freeze because we can both leave the lobby just by pressing esc. Help anyone?

i had to play on very low resolution as outside areas made my game really lag , i usually have to do this when graphics get overloaded hence why video is v low res, but still great fun to play

I knew this would be an issue for some, and I actually thought about releasing a non-fx version on the map. If anyone thinks this is a good idea, I will add a second download link when v2 is released. Should be within a week or 2
has nothing to do with the FX, more likely because of bad or non existant portalling

"if" you had "too many fx" - what you would actually see is "some vanishing and reappearing" and things like the muzzle flash on your gun may / may not appear etc

It is not likely, it is definitely because of non existent  portalling  :-[. More to do for v2 haha. Also it is good to see your perks available on an alternate site ;)

plus this month all ive done is port Origins guns. gonna release a Origins pack ( includes all guns, with claymores, semtex etc, no staffs, before anyone asks lol )

Just finished doing the clamores for that yesterday, which was the last i needed to do. Just need to go through checking em all again now. Finally got the stupid war machine to work too

Ive seen numerous people "claim" to have them done already ( lies... )

the only one who has is pieman, last i checked he was working on a "new version" of them, but dont think they were ever completed

the annoying thing is you cant really port the original, due to differences between WAW and BO2 weapon files. So realistically need to change a lot, or at least do a number of things "differently" - in which case you might as well just rewrite it from scratch

Maybe I should try to get some of the others that dont require scripting to compliment your pack. I wouldn't mind sending the converted ones to you if you wanted to include them in your pack as well. You have high standards though, so Idk if you'd like my lazy sounds. I have been using a single reload sound for all assault rifles and then a reload sound for smgs and so on. Let me know if you are interested in my help.

When v2 comes out check out my weapons and see if you would like them included in your pack
With the new lemon, note tracks are exported too, and directly to xanim. So doing sounds now is extremely easy

plus 90% in BO2 were shared, so odds are what youve done is not only "correct" but also "memory efficiant" ;)

eg, nearly all assault rifles use the reload sounds here

wpn/assault/reload/

any that dont, have a folder named after them

wpn/assault/galil/

for example

i can pop yours in a FF with em if you wanted, its up to you, ill prob be a while yet anyway double checking everything


Your right, I am picky lol. I already had these done, but with the new lemon, went through reporting the models to make sure they were spot o - with the exact right notetracks, overriding the camos to use the default camo, without touching the model ( the way you - should - do it ) and duplicating the stats "exactly" by looking at the BO2 files. I suck at sounds too however lol

You can only get it from the box on Origins, and it also doesnt feel as good as the MOTD version. Think they should have just made it a 1 map weapon

I put in some "solid" time on that map, and put like 100,000 in the box sometimes to get the mkII - seriously never had it lol

This map is brilliant. Very tough when I get to the 7 round door but been close enough to feel its achievable. PHD would be good since ray gun splash damage is a nightmare in the '7 round' room. To me, this map is up there as a top 5 or maybe 10.

Tru. And also the cfg weapons can be pretty far off from how they actually are. The only good onesnare rorkes and titos ports. I have always ported weapons myself but i have used a few of rorkes ports
