Title: Leningrad (COD 2 remake) [WIP] Update 8-09-16 Private Alpha testing soon

Finally decided to post this.

Behold Leningrad. My favorite COD 2 MP map. Remade for zombies :D

Idea: The MP map that was in COD 2 pretty much remade. Just with better textures/patches. Maybe some extra areas to add the the feel. Possibly some COD 2 guns for nostalgia. Will also feature some of the old style mapping for a little extra nostalgia :)

We all know the city of Leningrad. The Germans blockaded the city and cut off all supply lines. Many citizens resorted to cannibalism and even ate their own children. The Germans knew what was going on but kept the people starving and dying anyways, but for what reason? They might have been scared, or trying to isolate an area that was perfect for their deep, dark desires...

Indoor areas are more dark, but it makes it more atmospheric imo.

The WIP list is WAY longer :alone: and there are going to be a couple official textures and most of the others are higher res ones.

I see youve listed my crafables and my perks

To my knowledge i never updated the craftables that were up on UGX ( but "did" make fundemental changes to the perks ) - are you having any compatibility issues between them? Im guessing the buildable power switch will not work correctly?

No issues that I have encountered that were major yet. But I need to test more extensively. I did have a problem with pap a while back with an old map for a friend but thats about it.

pap "should" be ok still, but power switch i used new KVPs

I have a updated version if you need it, just wasnt released. So let me know if you have issues

I might change it. The camo isnt animated. But I could probably tone it done or just change it all together.

Getting Harry's stuff to work right has been a bit of a pain. But it's getting there very slowly.

The Perks pack is fully working, buildables dont fully work. (I.E. Zombie Shield cant be used and no parts for pap or power.)

Harry's Thundergun has gotten working ingame, just needs sounds added. :D

Overall very light week but the map needs a bit less tuning for release. Just some more mapping to go.

I should get a good bit of progress done here because I just got on Christmas break and have 12 days out of school.

If you want to read them heres some notes from my behind the scenes:

New starting pistol w/ proper pap variant.
Slight mapping has been done, mostly some out of map detail.
Been working out how I can zone this.
Fixed some clipping and mapping issues.
Finally I fixed some weapon issues. (I.E. Third person models missing, wrong/bad/no textures, third person model textures.

Anyways Thanks for keeping up with this project. I hope to have an alpha released to a few of my testers by the end of  January at the worst, end of break at best.

k, what ill do is edit the scripts in the IWD

Might need to ask you to look at some shit in radiant, or maybe change some shit

when i send it back, youll just have to drag the contents of the IWD out and into your mod again, then recompile it all

Alright very quick update.

Map is now stable to run without T4M

Going to slowly add back in what I took out to see how much I can get away with.

Quick update:

Not much has been done since the last update. A few mapping mistakes fixed and some more patching done. I have been mostly working in finishing my new PC and migrating my WaW data over to it. I have also been porting over 600 textures. (Ported 260 as of this post). I will probably have this done by the weekend and probably be back mapping again.

Small update.

Map is currently on hold due to a few issues I randomly got.

I have been working at it for a few days to no prevail.

I think its due to a bad linker_pc so I replaced the file, but I get constant hunk_alloc errors no matter what I do.

Consider this on hold till issue is fixed.
