Hi guys, I'm curious what your set ups look like, I looked around and didn't find one of these, and if there is, it isn't active. :D

Here's mine:

The wall is fairly battered since there used to be a long desk along it which was taken down, happy with the set up, gonna upgrade PC soon. :D (Yes, that cup is on top of a hard drive, yes it's not working. :P)

Essentially just a picture and maybe a brief description, please don't list out your PSU and your monitors brightness setting. :D Just a pic, and maybe description, like mine. :) If it's just a laptop, then feel free to post it. :D

eck sorry for the bad quality, the camera on my phone is broken.

It's basic, just a laptop and a 42 inch flat screen. i used too have a 7.1 surround sound, but i didn't have a surge protector during a huge ass storm, and you can probably guess what happened from there.

As awesome as that looks, do you not get tired of green glowing all the time? Or are you able to change the colours?

Every colour of the rainbow for the keyboard and the LED's ;D

I'd really become blind from all those colors. But the glowing glass panel on the case looks awesome.

lol, one is for the laptop, cause I don't use that keyboard on it, and the other is for the main pc. Makes testing easier.

When I have to write essays, I use a mechanical keyboard from the 90s.

Thanks. I like Jammy's. I might get some leds like his for back lighting. Everything was refurbed, and pretty cheap. Don't think I have a 1000 in it all over 5 years.

Since moving out to go to Uni my setup has change a hefty sum but I'm pretty with what I'm rocking right now.

Everytime I clean up my setup it just becomes a mess a few days later. But yes, I use a Rock Band microphone held up by an electronic snare pad since I don't use it on my kit, Wacom tablet is buried under the Magic: The Gathering cards, drum kit is in my small room just because, PS3 for Destiny only, and third monitor is just sitting there since I'm not using it (has weird color issue on the left side of it).

It seems many people have this habit of drinking soft drinks near the pc. :please: I stopped this long ago, due to the incident when I spilled my drink all over the keyboard, were a short occured.

Well firstly we dont need to be constantly looking between them, they are there for convenience mostly, I for one often have videos playing on one, maya on another and my scripts open on the other

Then theres multiscreen gaming, which if you tried it, im sure would change your mind. Being able to see the other two out the corner of your eye is plenty, not a complete head turn

But its also handy for things like radiant, I stretch mine across 2 screens, 3d view on one, 2d view the other, asset viewer on the 3rd

also means while im playing i can see my skype without alt - tabbing which some games seem to despise

Once or twice ive had a movie going on one, while i work on another, to entertain someone with me at the time

Then for people like me, handy to keep chat open where i can see it with out interferring with what im doing

They come in extremely handy if you do an awful lot of dev stuff, as often youll have so many programs open it becomes tiresome trying to find what your after lol

Also when i said a while ago in chat, people think im not there when i am, coz im playing guitar, and cant stop to answer. Usually a song is only like 3 minutes and they are gone by then lol. My point here is that i have chat open on another screen, so i can keep my eye on it and see if people call me etc

Also very handy for video editing, or monitoring statistics of how your pc is performing while you do something else

I realise from outside it just seems like a novelty, but its actually very very useful, and im yet to experience any neck pain lol

Well, i'm convinced. It feels much easier to complete tasks this way. Now I'm thinking of how to fit 3 monitors onto the desk, since I barely have one fitted :please:

before i could afford the monitors i just had the second linked to my tv, which was on the wall above to the left, but i bought the monitors not long after as admitadly that was a little inconvenient

saying that i can barely fit these on my desk now lol, you can get monitor "frames" which you can screw the screens onto, so the base does not get in your way ( for me it means my keyboard has to be on the very edge, so i need to get one of these one day ), they are usually movable too, on like "claw arms" that have support for more than just one screen for lack of a better description, which can be even more handy.

Its worth doing if you come across a bargain on monitors or graphics cards tho :D

pain to keep clean tho lol

Also you don't need a 27" 4k monitor for your secondary, as I've mostly got skype/chat/ts running on it I'm using an old 4:3 which shouldn't cost more than 30-40$.

yea, any size is fine, but same size is much better ( and efficiant ) for multiscreen gaming

but for anything non gaming, no need to match really

even then its preference i guess, i know people who use a tv and a screen

I use my left monitor for chat and music (pandora, youtube, etc, obs)
Middle is my tv (Not computer monitor)
Right is used for capture software, and twitter/social media.

It's all just a convenience to have, not required.

Two sum up:

2 monitor for more workspace
1 tv for gaming and cable.

Very true, especially for me when doing Maya stuff and 2 open or messing with soundaliases and having 2 Excel windows open, definitely makes things easy.

Every item on that desk is in use all the time, theres a cup, my smoking stuff, and wires - wires that are left expoesed coz i constantly need to swap em over when i play guitar

no wrappers, no rubbish, no dirt? thank you very much

desktop name Ice Princess custom pc have 4 monitors
right side under the desk building a desktop to be able to use to 3 monitors i name the desktop Phoenix God
4 laptop for if guy like to play zombie the the game room

this is not the full setup has a lot more stuff at the plug in
all laptops and desktop have i7 to I-5 and dedicated video

and lot more in boxes

For some reason the camera on my iPhone only saves like 3/4 of the normal pictures that it should for some reason. :alone:

Well i have updated my space pretty extensively, but the camera on my phone just completely broke. so ill just explain it.

i still have the laptop, but i replaced the TV with a 130" 1920x1080 HD projector. Unfortunately i didn't have enough distance to the wall too get a full 130" screen so its only about 115". I replaced the xbox 360 with a 1 TB xbox ONE, i now have a 7.1 surround sound. (but i only have enough room for 4 speakers FML) My bed is replaced with a futon with a 7 1/2" futon mattress. I'm planning too buy some acoustic curtains too drape on the walls, and also some cheap blue and green acoustic foam too put on the door and around the speakers. For a projector screen im currently using a white sheet that i sprayed black liquid rubber, on the backside too allow for a deeper color. My computer chair is an old brown recliner that i bought at a yardsale, its super comfy and it has a swivel base. im currently running a 9 button mouse, and a turtle beach seven pro gaming heaset for XBONE and PC.

And thats pretty much it for now...

The only cameras i have are really old Handheld camcorders that record on mini VHS's. and a throw away camera. im planning to go shopping tomorrow. maybe ill get like a cheapo 50 dollar camera at wallmart or something.

Yeh guys I have an IMAX screen with 4D seats setup and 100 surround sound speakers and special edition 5TB PS4 and 5TB XBone, but I don't have a camera so just take my word for it ;)
