Title: Radiant Error
Post by: MZslayer11 on October 25, 2015, 11:33:30 pm
I am able to open up my map fine. But after a few minutes, I will select a brush or a model and I will get this error:

(https://www.ugx-mods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.ctrlv.in%2Fimg%2F15%2F10%2F25%2F562d6649a3072.png&hash=6415d6002a0714d5aa97039fc39916cbfd777727) (http://ctrlv.in/657750)

I just started getting this error today. It has happened 4 different times, each time after selecting a different model/brush. Wtf.

Do you get this on all mapfiles or just one? Cos its usually broken mapfile, when this happens

Does it say anything at all in the log at the bottom of Radiant?

I have this in the nuketown map :/ Im assuming its just brushes that are corrupt or something, but Its only in a certain area that it will crash, so I just don't touch it any more

If someone finds a fix, it would help a ton tbh.

How exactly does a brush become "corrupt"?

I've had this error before when trying to put in a model that was too large in file size. Is it just any brush that gives this error or a select few?

any file that is being repeatadly opened, and resaved has potential for some of its properties to corrupt

We do this a monumental amount with radiant, which is why it "automatically" backs up every 5 minutes, just in case stuff like this happens

Check for this autosave file, should be either mapname.autosave*number* or mapname.bak, then you can rename it to mapname.map.

Open the map file in Notepad++ search for some bad entities that contain the values NaN, if you do delete them.

Will give that a look when I get home, thanks.
